i [censored] love the Brisbane Lions to be honest. Doing God’s work year after year. Yep, even Zorko is my friend today!

How great was his goal!

D’arsey Moore greatly overrated.

Next year, there team is still going to be built around a 38 year old, a 35 year old and a 34 year old.

Collingwood are seriously going to fall off a cliff when pendlebury, sidebottom and elliot retire.

Je suis Brisbane.

I swear I'm the odd one out here, but while I'm glad to be rid of the Pies I have zero love or affinity for the [censored] Lions. The fans I've met of theirs are toxic wankers, they've got ridiculous draft concessions from their academy, and they're coming off a premiership to another top 5 draft pick.

A pox on all their [censored] houses.

I rarely do it, but for sheer indulgent pleasure I might have a read on Bigfooty (do they have a fan forum like our wonderful Demonland? I reckon not because you have to be able to read and write!)

The effect that losing Pendlebury had should be alarming.

I presume I was not the only one screaming in joy at the TV as the Lions scored those goals in the final quarter. As close to a Dees victory as you get.

I just feel relieved.

My god jack riewoldt was going on about that non contact free. They lost by 29 points. Zorko gave the pies their first 4.

Lions just to good.

First time I have seen the commentators more feral than the Filth fans after a non free kick.

I’m going to crack a bottle of red and watch McRae’s presser, heh heh heh

Can we have Elliot instead of Brody ?

Good riddance mcrae you hypocritical fake nice guy

He’s a passive-aggressive little twerp.

Oh the sweet, sweet Collingwood tears, so delicious

Btw, a conversation needs to be had in this country about adult men getting full face painted.

I saw more this weekend then i have in the last 10 years.

Trading for Houston (ironically enough) looking a big error

Houston was putting everything on one bet, last chance for a second Flag for them. They have come up short and will be falling off an age cliff very soon 😃

Thank you Brissie!! 😎

I was yelling at the tv like it was Melbourne playing at times.

Chris fagan is a genius. 3rd consecutive gf.

They should turn the GF public holiday into a celebration of Collingwood not being there to spoil it.

That’s all true… on any other day but this one. They knocked Collingwood out of the running. Tonight we love them

Went over to bigfooty to laugh at the collingwood forums and appears the servers have crashed hahahaha

You know the best thing.

It's the thugs birthday today.

Happy birthday you loser!

Enjoy your day. 🤣

Great news. The thug bites the dust.! Well done Lions, in another post I suggested you play like you did against the Dockers in Perth recently and you did.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
