State of Origin is Back

Featured Replies

First 5 minutes it’s all MFC player involvement, Kosi, Hogan, Jackson, Gawn.

Actually enjoying this more than I thought I would just from a skill perspective.

This is not the night for fumbles – as Butters just checked out.

The players look like they genuinely care which is good

Damn... Weitering's injury could kill SOO in the future. Hope he's OK.

Just in this break. Gawn looking to struggle with the new ruck rules. Looks lost or unable to compete with the jumping rucks

Bruise free for rest of game now.

That’s it for State of Origin again!

Who?

Weitering had two players land on top of him while lying sideways after slipping under a marking contest. Being stretchered off.

Riv is not a great kick. Not sure he is our midfield star of the future

Odds on that someone will be injured.

As the game involves the top 3 or 4 at each club the impact is always going to be severe.

Is it worth it ?

Well they’ve got to play practice matches if they weren’t playing. Last time I checked you can get injured in a practice match. It’s just part of footy, you could get injured first minute of round 1

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
