Heard on Gold FM two hours ago GWS said they are closing on the Clayton Oliver deal and expect it done as early as tomorrow, no mention of any details though. They must be laughing.🥲

    Any word on Sparrow - was whispers at one stage of him being packaged to a SA team. Seems that wont happen now.

    They just [censored] away a pick in the 30’s for nothing.

    If all we get is a F3 we should at least ask the AFL if we can swap it with Collingwood for the one we gave them for Mihocek.

    i reckon we give him one more year. seems like a good young fella and has shown propensity to kick big goals and get his hands dirty. maybe having King come in will inspire him to step up his game after a quiet/disappointing 2025?

    Has anyone heard anything about potentially using picks back from Oliver or Trac, to send to Hawks for a player?

    This will be part of the Merrett currency. Had someone mention it to me over the weekend, not sure where they heard it.

    If the Bombers don't want a particular player that the Hawks are offering, why would we want them?

    And the Bombers already have our pick, so not sure why they will look to load up in this draft. Only possibility is that they trade 2 high picks to the Eagles for pick 1 to land Duursma.

    McKenzie would be of interest. A beautiful ball user - so probably wouldn't fit in.

    Could be Hustwaite?

    Know for a fact he was our first priority in the 2022 draft in the Jed Adams pick. It just so happen that Hawthorn first got to him and we ended with Adams instead.

    Apparently Jiath is looking at his options, im sure Hawks will try use him in the Merrett deal.

    But I really like him and think he would fit in nicely with the McVee departure and if Rivers is getting more mid time.

    Changkuoth Jiath is an athletic freak, no doubt about it. He is also not afraid of putting his head over the ball or standing under a high kick.

    But he is a woeful disposer of the footy. Pass.

    Trac and Pick Swaps for 7 and 8

    Oliver for a F2-F3

    It’s looking like the deal for Charlie Curnow will be Florent, Hayward and 1-2x 1st rounders which is a very good deal in my opinion for Carlton for a player who doesn’t want to be there.

    I have heard rumours around us making a player for a hawks player which has been discussed on this thread. I feel like it comes down to either Mackenzie, Jiath or Hustwaite (and may depend on the Merrett trade too, which I think is probably dead in the water)

    I could very much see us dealing a F2 for Jiath or Hustwaite, Mackenzie may cost more.
