Who Will Be Our Next Coach?

Yeah, but as a kid. He was in premiership sides in his first and second years, so not a senior player or leader. Just a lucky kid, so that premiership record was never particularly persuasive to me, although I love what he did for our club as a coach.

yet how many times has he played up forward since 2021?

up until he busted his foot against north at the docklands carpark in 2022; every game!

he was never the same thereafter - as he himself has said, he struggles to jump at the ball these days, so he can still play defensively, but not as an attacking weapon

This quote from Jack Viney in his post season club website interview gives me a bit of hope with respect to a new voice.

“With 9 or 10 years of Goody I guess there was a level of comfortability within the group”

DD saying no is pretty devastating really. pretty much the most respected of the options, with the highest level of recent success ..

'Devastating' is a bit of a stretch..

...but not as a coach.

I think he was an interesting option but there were no guarantees he would be the next Fagan.

Everyone is different and every appointment is different.

There seems to be this thing in AFL of jumping on bandwagons.

Lets hope are next choice is as successful as our last.

I think this is incredibly true, Fagan is an obvious success story, but David Noble was an absolute disaster.

I can see why we'd want him to be part of the process and his experience added some sort of appeal but i think the AFL world at times gets sucked in a little bit to what's trendy, Fagan had done ALOT of coaching even before his role at the Hawks so it wasn't foreign to him at all.

fagan also had the advantage of lachie neale, joe daniher, and a myriad of top tier father-son / nga selections falling into his lap

We have made a bid for Bevo.

Bevo has continually said it’s dogs or no one next year but Dees hoping he would change his mind after making finals

I'm very sceptical. I'm even sceptical we even made an initial play considering the sources that suggested it.

Mail has been from my end Bucks by a country mile. The gravitus alone gets the job done.

Well I'm an office boy and a golfer and I tend to both worse when stressed and not comfortable haha

Was half expecting Nicky Buckley !! 🤔🤣🤣🤣

You would probably have to explain that reference to most on here BB ...

In the end, it doesn't matter what we think who's going to be coach or who we would like to coach all we will do is say yes that was a great signing or they stuffed it up and sent us backwards

Ok… so… one comma and one apostrophe is just not enough…

Believe Enright opted out and Daly has advised that while the opportunity appealed, the timing didn’t work. The club had a conversation with Leon Cameron, not sure what came of that.

How do you know that this is the 6?

He has insider info.

Doesn't bode well then for the supposed 'leaks' if Dannyz finds out

Good point. Might as well shut down the whole site.

What if Dannyz is actually Bradg with a soft spot for Demonland? 😂

27 pages of catch up completed. I enjoyed the part about Disposal Efficiency and the quick break to talk about the Collingwood game.

Less concerned about who gets the senior gig and more about senior coaches. Don't think our current list of assistants is good.

Dannyz or Chook in Perth aren’t journos.

Bit different to the leaks that are someone’s bs agenda setting.

That's all you've got? Just the usual BS from you, but then again, you really don't know much about football.

Assistants pulling out of the process is not a good sign. Bruce and Daly maybe less so in that they probably want to have a crack at Lions senior coach role. I suspect Fagan will probably pull the pin this year so they are likely to go for the devil they know.

Fagan was always good with people, his coaching success is built on his ability to form relationships.
