They have 6 goals, they are up, not sure what Port are.

Newton has 3 goals, 4 behinds, 2 out on fulls and its not half time. 9 shots on goal!

Can't help but get more excited

Sandringham 6.11.47 Port Melbourne 2.7.19

Newton indeed has 3.4 with 2 shots out of bounds. All of the goals were kicked in the second quarter after a low scoring first term in which Sandy was held goalless.

In the reserves, the Zebras just missed out on beating the undefeated top side Port Melbourne. Ryan Ferguson made his come back from injury in this game.

Port Melbourne 3.6.24 9.8.62 11.11.77 14.16.100

but i want to hear how many shots he got for the game. he has a history of playing good for some of the time. i want to hear he has played a good second half and kicked 2-3 more, finished with 5 or 6 goals 5 behinds and 2 on the full. 13 shots, 10 marks inside 50, 18 kicks and 24 disposals lol and the mandatory screamer.

and we'll see if the mfc can somehow not pick him next week.

That would be nice!!

If neitz is out this week surely Newton or at least Miller or Dunn must come in!!

Apperantly the game is now over and Newton didn't do anything more in the second half.

Damn, this could have been his chance to get a senior game, although a 5 day break makes it unlikely.

Dunn and Miller were good as well.

I'd like to play Miller on Lucas next week, and Dunn up forward.

CJ to replace Yze.

id be inclined to play bell on lucas, who i believe can do a similar job to what campbell brown did a month or so ago

dunny to come in for yze, and play as the middle sized forward (not really a KPP atm) and sylvia to try and play more in the midfield for a few weeks

Poyas finished with 5 goals for Sandy and Newton did not add to his half time score. Bearing in mind that the Zebras had a tall forwward line there was a bit of rotating and Miller came to the fore in the last quarter with a couple. Sautner kicked his goals on the three quarter time siren. Newton was quiet in the last quarter but who knows? Perhaps they were resting him up for an appointment on Friday night. We should try to keep the hysteria about him down because he's already going to be under a fair bit of pressure when he does make his debut so let's not add to it. Lynden Dunn is a chance to come back on today's effort and so possibly is CJ. Simon Buckley also played a nice game.

If they rested Newton in the last, then he is almost a certainty to play this week you would think.

Would happily play all of Miller, Dunn, CJ and Buckley against Essendon.

There are half a dozen players currently playing seniors would need to be dropped, and another half a dozen who should be dropped just to make a statement.

Any word on Wheels?

INS: CJ, buckley, dunn, wheels

OUTS: ward, pickett, yze, bruce! yes thats right bruce.. seriously he has been really disappointing this year and needs a stint in the twos. his kicking is becoming shocking and hasn't really stood up when we need him to. give guys like CJ and bucks to prove themselfs that they are desperate for a spot in the team. also how did jace bode go?

Bruce?...Not so much.

Disappointing this year? So has been the whole bloody side! (bar a few..)

I think it should be Frawley who gets dropped.

He looks lost as hell out there at the moment, and he's a wasted pick until he gets some more games down at Sandy and actually starts to play with some purpose and confidence.

But of course, then there's the argument that he won't ever learn unless he is played in the side...so really, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
