adams and kento who else do we have no one, and viney for idfk.

please do not play lever but i know goody will

Assume Lever straight back in and could/should we bring in Luker?

There’s almost no kids at Casey worth playing, that would be a silly decision.

Adelaide are tall, has to be either Lever or T Mc in for Howes.

JVR by default comes in for Petty.

Otherwise the million dollar question is who comes out of the midfield or elsewhere.

Fritsch needs to be sub. Lindsay might need a rest. Sharp’s no good. Oliver and Viney can’t play in the same side but it’s damn hard to drop either of them either.

Spargo in if healthy for Sharp. If they want to pick Henderson or Billings and rest Lindsay so be it.

To sum up our dire selection situation:

May on the decline, Lever poor since his return from injury, Fritsch fading fast, JVR and Jefferson below standard, Tholstrup struggling, Petracca and Oliver nowhere near their previous levels, Salem going through the motions, and TMac probably in his final year.

And, worst of all, no youngsters at Casey knocking on the door for selection.

Right now, who would even want to coach this lot?

Get everyone fresh for the North game as we might be a chance for that one.

Was Kozzie’s hit suspendable or a fine?

Billings and JVR put in commendable second half performances

But neither deserve to be picked

Petty and Howes are clear outs; Lever and plugger Mac don’t deserve to be selected… but who else is there?

Petty and Howes miss with concussion.

JVR comes back because there's no one else.

Lever's the better fit but whilst TMac's struggling at Casey, he at least was doing well in the AFL before he was dropped.

Ironically, despite our injury list and run with fitness/injuries this year being as good as it's ever been, other than Windsor and JVR who just got dropped, possibly the only players on our list I really want to see get back into the side are AWM, McAdam and Sestan, who are the only actually injured players we have.

Instead, what do we do - make Laurie the sub again? Give Woewodin, Brown or Culley a game off middling (at best) VFL form? Billings?

Windsor needs to play and on a wing. Disappointed Sestan is injured, he would have been worth a go at this stage.

I would t be disappointed if Adam’s was given a go and replaced Howes. His form has been inconsistent but give him a look at AFL level and it wouldnt hurt the club.

Lever’s body is shot, is too slow and his disposal is below average. He needs a rest to get himself right for next year.

JVR is an obvious one.

Bring back TMac and get rid of Goodwin’s love child Petty.

If you know anything about the Demons recently, T Mac is one of Goodwins favourites and was a tough call to drop him

Petty was one of very few today to compete early but will have to go via concussion

[censored] it play the kids. Despite pretty mid form in the vfl I’d like to see verrall and culley get a run. If the seasons cooked it’s worth seeing if these younger types have what it takes to compete.

Petty Howes out with concussion

Viney will get a week minimum

Kentfield Billings Lever?

who knows

Has any other clubs had to travel 3 weeks in a row?

Yes I know we had the bye in between but still.

Think it's first time since 2020 due to covid. It's ridiculous that the club accepted this.

I’d be more than happy for the club to throw the 💩 and boycott next week

What do you mean “accepted”?

We don’t get a choice.

We also get what we deserve when we had sub-20,000 crowds in the last 2 months of last year.

If our crowds drop off further in the last 2 months of this year, expect more of the same for our 2026 fixture.

In: Forfeit

Out: Playing

Realistically the games not winnable. I had us between 8-14 this year.

Time to try and lock down position going forward.

Windsor is a wingman

Jefferson stays for at least 5 more games

Laurie at least 4 games in the middle.

Play Thorstrup , Langford and Lindsay for remainder of the year but monitor their bodies and give breaks based on fitness, energy , not so much week to week performance.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
