Sharp for Viney would just about do it.

Spargo probably gets a reprieve with the dees win but first half wasn't great.

Fritsch to start now as long as he keeps bringing that intensity.

Edit: forgot Lever, will he need another run at Casey? If not it will probably mean Turner forward and Johnson out.

Keep Fritsch as the sub for another week, was genuinely impactful in that role. Make it clear he needs to earn a full game.

Could we have Lever, May, Turner and T Mac all in the backline? Turner seems mobile enough to play on a medium forward, or it simply frees Lever up to do his best work.

You’d have to take Windsor out and despite his poor game today his pace has proven so valuable when he’s able to sweep. And you’d have to move him to the wing and swap other things around.

Only change, Viney for Sharp and Fritch to start as sub again

Lever if he’s 100% right for AJ. Disco forward.

Don’t love Viney for Sharp but that’s probably the move. Ideally we’d have a genuine half forward to come in but Casey is petty thin.

With Viney back I’d like to see Rivers take some rotations as the 3rd wing. Chandler more forward to keep that pressure and forward craft.

Wouldn’t be against a bit of shuffling the magnets with Langford deep forward in bursts and Lindsay high half forward. Just for development would be nice to give them some different looks

Fritsch must stay as sub.

spargo out and never play again

sharp out

brown and viney in

leave jake out to play a half at casey again, turner is our best defender so leave him down there ffs

Heard Lindsay has been taken to hospital.

Agree only change Viney in Dull out.

The hit on his throat I’m guessing

Not another larynx!

(although potentially better than concussion if he recovers quickly)

Viney for Sharp

Lever starts on the bench, for Linsay (if he doesn't get up)

Keep Disco back, Petty forward

Fritter or Spargo as sub

Sydney are down Amartey and McInerney

Lindsay did take a hand to the face in the last Q

Might be a precautionary eye situation

If we win, we are well and truly back in the conversation for the 8. Beat St kilda the week after and go into Collingwood with nothing to lose and suddenly it’s become somewhat of a blockbuster fixture again.

These are the harder ones to determine. Viney for Sharp feels obvious, if Brown put in another good performance I'd like to see that rewards and have Spargo dropped. If Lever is fit he comes in, Disco goes forward, AJ (very unlucky) goes out.

Fritta stays as the sub. He had an impact and that's what we need from the sub.

Spargo will stay rewarded for whatever Goody thinks he contributes, though I don’t know if anybody who knows what that is. Couldn’t even kick a set shot.

Fritta will probably also be rewarded, though another week as sub would do him good.

AJ has little skill but provides a very solid contest and does ok as back up ruck. No surprise that Max could come back on in the last bit of Q4 and really turn / save the game - would he have been able to do that without a real break?

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
