Langford on track to become our best ever midfielder lol

Should have been a 7 goal quarter

Umps robbed us of 2

The rest is our fault

Hees we've missed so many chances.not just the kicks but bounce of the ball in our fwd line.

We should well and truly be winning.

That ability to quickly gather on the mistake and in one step throw a decent attempt on the boot when no-one else can kick over a tin.

We picked the right guy

I think I’ll need to attend umpire training, as their trainer, and explain how the ducking that Dambrosio just did is prior opportunity and that he needs to make an attempt to get rid of the ball legally – an attempt will do as he was tackled straight away.

But [censored] me, he can’t just lie on the fricking thing.

Forward line is absolute garbage. Fritta and JVR need a big second half

Plus Jefferson.

Petty or Turner up forward offer so much more.

Jeffo sub out and Kolt on. Need to move Disco to CHF

That’s HTB maggot. Ducked and didn’t dispose of it. Cheating [censored]

How four umps didn't see Kozzie being legged when people from the New Guinea highlands did, I'll never know.

Other than kicking fot goal , good quarter

Completely true but" other " is a big word

I don’t remember being as angry watching the footy as I watched the quarter. So many wasted opportunities and then that missed call 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

HOW THE HELL CAN ALL 4 UMPIRES MISS THAT TRIP!!! ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC.

Edited by Vipercrunch

Gawn’s tap work that quarter was some of the best I’ve ever seen

It won’t be because it happened to us and not a popular club, but that blatant trip with umpires standing right there watching should be all over the footy shows and media this week to show how horrific the umpiring continues to be.

Good call.

Something has to change.

Turner a good set shot.

We need someone tall in the fwd line who can take a grab.

Gah. Imagine if we were 10.4 instead, would have been pretty much game over against these pretenders.

Isn’t that trip a reportable offence? Should get a week for that.

Umpires every week are royally screwing us over. Every week .

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.

The Demons lacked some polish but showed a lot of heart and took it right up to the Bulldogs in an attempt to spoil their finals hopes ultimately going down by a goal at the MCG.
