I agree with this, Sestan is about as natural a footballer as you’ll see. Even at lower levels, you don’t kick huge bags of goals without serious talent.

He’s a great option to replace Melk into the future. In an AFL system, if allowed to play on instinct, he could do anything.

The only worry I have with sestan is his disposal, by foot he is absolutely woeful. Outside of that he’s an amazing footballer, can’t wait to see him at some point this year because he’s 100 percent gonna get a few games.

Just going off of a few things I’ve seen on here, I’ve got that one wrong clearly

An apology if this has been mentioned elsewhere:

David King analysed Chris Scott's use of two ruckman (Stanley and Bilcavs) v the Hawks.

Meek was confused when Stanley essentially only contested ball ups in and around the square and Bilcavs took all others and boundary throw ins.

Meek was caught out numerous times. King reckons the Cats have been using this ploy for three years.

I'd like to see us trying a similar strategy with Max ie Max staying between the arcs but not out to the wings.

I know it would mean he wouldn't be taking those clutch marks both deep forward and deep back.

If JvR plays he plays as a permanent forward in my team. It's the only way he'll develop.

AJ rucks outside the square if he has the fitness. TC won't be part of our next flag. A slim chance AJ will.

Maybe Turner doing some rucking if playing in the backline.

Lack of recognition by the team or Trac? A lot of the boys ran straight to Chandler for that super effort.

Nah you’re spot on. The camera followed Trac who went to Max to acknowledge the handball. He then went to Chin who was already surrounded by team mates congratulating him.

JVR needs to get goals or assist from general play before returning. Set shots in reserves not enough to warrant return cos reserve backs arent much markingoppostion. Appears to be lumbering in general play. Not good at ground level. He seems to clutter the forward line leads straight but not able to dip and dart around or change direction quickly enough. Won two straight without him.

Melksahm.is experienced and can mark high as can Kozzie. With Fritsch, Melksham Jefferson as mid-sized talls and Petty the main tall, forwards are flexible and mobile.

Petty is a confidence player great mark but can get the yips kicking. If that happens can swing him back for Turner or MacDonald, both proven marks and forwards

Turner in plays back, to swing forward if Petty not doing it and given time..not in and out

Kozzie to do his thing as mid or forward

Viney primarily tags best opposition mid. This week Reid

Tholstrup needs to go to reserves and rip it apart...Living on faux reputation at present.

Doesn't compare to Langford or Linsey at all.

After our win over Freo someone on here said how watching the match live showed things you don’t see when watching on TV. and in this case it was about Kolt and how enthusiastic he is out there, how he’s involved in setting up zones and he routinely yells to his teammates.

I told him this was said about him and he said he wasn’t really aware he does this. He said he’s just being himself out there and this is true since he’s like this at training.

We really do need Kolt out there. His youth and exuberance is valuable and his confidence is infectious. We’re a better side with him in it.

Sorry LePig but the feedback that I have been hearing is that Oliver Seston has excellent foot skills just didn’t get the ball enough, however he seems to have turned this side of his game around and is really racking up disposals. At 6’2” in old terms he is the same size as Riv, so hoping to see him get a game at the earliest opportunity.👍😁

Six two? Didn't realise he was that tall. Pretty big lad.

He's not far away - if he can get super fit he has the tools to make it.

And he has a bit of x factor about him I reckon, particularly with his kicking - hits really nice darts on the angle.

He's looking ok down back, but I reckon long term he'll be a forward, which I'm pretty sure is where he's played most of his footy.

Geelong have ordinary rucks, we do not. There's no need for us to do this. However, what we could do is play Max and Campbell as I believe @Harvey Wallbanger and perhaps @Slartibartfast have suggested...

There's a chance we could sit Campbell on the bench when Max is in the on the ground, and vice versa.
