GAWN AND VINEY CAPTAIN AND VICE CAPTAIN TO CASEY... JUST TERRIBLE

Yea it's not a good look with zero.marks for both.

Is Sparrow injured

2 touches...he must be. What happened?

As ugly as we are, we are still in it.

Some more intensity than last week.

Hell let's be honest. There was none at all last week. Full stop.

Jeez what a frustrating watch, but honestly a big improvement this week. Shame about some shocking umpiring. You can tell confidence is low, hopefully a bit of momentum will stay our way next half! Still definitely in this 💪

Having Yze and McQualter leave one after the other can't have helped.

This just comes down to who wants it more.

Can most of team lift and drive themselves to our first win

T-Mac's been VG down back.

The injection of Turner up forward at least makes us look a tad more dangerous and offers another mobile marking option until JVR finally hits some lead up / marking form.

Turner's mobility at ground level also brings a tad more pressure at ground level inside 50.

Fritta's done ok as a link up HHF but still nowhere near it around goals in that first half.

Tracc is driving this team hard you can see it both with effort and letting everyone know where they need to be at.

Max also lifted in that quarter and even more so after the questionable free against him in our 50.

Clarry, while not as his best is willing himself to so many contests and bringing alot of the little pressure acts to force turnover and/or get the ball moving forward / to our advantage where poss.

If some of the lessor lights in the team and a severly out-of-form Viney can lift in this second half we might get close but wouldn't put any $$ on it.

Not even Max can get the better of Old Father Time.

He desperately needs the back-up ruck we haven't got.

We have one TC who did pretty well in the preseason - but Goody too stubborn to play him.

Been an issue from round one.

Pass the hat and get some tape measures.

It’s completely deliberate though. They’ve clearly been directed to call play on and they treat us like complete mugs.

Get Fkkn angry Dees!

call me crazy but I was just entertaining buying a last minute ticket and going to the game to witness a big upset. Yes, tickets are still $75!

Play Fritsch out of the Goalsquare Goodwin FFS….

Absolutely!

I thought the floodgates were about to burst open, but credit to the boys for fighting back and squaring the quarter.

Jack Henry out of the game with a hammy. He was causing us some problems early doors.

Petty looks pretty hopeless, like he just doesn't care, why is he getting games?

Henderson good, Milkshake, Chandler, Fritsch looking decent too is nice for a change.

Less dropped marks but still some real easy ones, Gawn terrible dropped marks, JVR too but still we are looking better at least and still just in the game.

Langford looks great and Trac and Viney too. Love Henderson getting kudos from Lyon, he's good.

Petty though seriously, I hate to agree with Kane Kornes but he said it spot on the radio this morning you'd be wrapped if you found out Petty was the guy playing on you during a game...we can't have that!!!

Some of that first half was horrible but we still have a sniff but we still could get flogged.

The first goal in the 3rd will be critical to building some belief we desperately need..

We've had a couple of very stiff "not 15" calls against us that seemed like BS, or at least they didn't call the same for Cats. They don't make it easy for us do they.

The most disappointing part is that despite the improved effort, it's really obvious that we're completely outclassed.

The structure, cohesiveness and decision making is just not where it needs to be. We are scoring goals through opposition errors and quick flashes of individual desperation.

It's the same trends from 2022 after three years of devolution

1st half

💩fumbles and fumbles. Oliver

Oliver pathetic little handballs to no one

Metres Gained 160!!! Low!!!

💩 handball to no one . Salem

💩Petty Viney Sparrow Sharp

👏Langdon run

👏clearances even

👏Trac two goals

👏Langford goal

🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮umps !!!

Have been saying for the last two years that we needed to draft a defender. Now May is clearly in decline and Petty looks [censored], while Adams is doing nothing at Casey.

How do you lose the ability to tackle?

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
