They ‘would have lost anyway’, but Scott didn’t get why prelim wasn’t delayed for sick Cats

A win against this vermin would certainly make my week. But I cant see it.

I was going to fork out $75 to go the game but I can't justify it. I already hold two premier memberships. I think we might win this! I know all the odds are against us but I'm hoping we pull off a miracle.

If we do I’m following you for the rest of the season!

I admit I'm not as knowledgeable as some of the posters on here but I'll take that comment as a compliment. 😄 I've sat through so many horrendous games for many years but my gut is we might have this one... fingers crossed. feet crossed!

So if the Cats beat Melbourne by 55 points tonight will that confirm the Demons have lost the plot? a.ka. Words on the gravestone of a hypochondriac ... Now do you believe that I'm sick?

Trying to stay positive but Jesus, feels oddly familiar to 2015. Keep reminding myself it’s only round 3.

Carn Dee’s !

kids/junior tickets wink wink

Our ins are good, a reasonably full strength side - plus Kozzie who makes us better. He should be busting to get out there.

This is based on nothing at all, other than we are better than what our results so far this year indicate… but I think we’ll win. It’s the perfect way to kick off our season.

“Easy” and very much winnable 4 matches after this. Put in a strong performance win or lose, regain some much needed confidence then season may well be back on track and winning 4 in a row before facing Hawthorn. 👌

Great that Biklavs is out. I’ll redo my tip

Geelong by 54 down to 42

Personally playing Stanley is smart. He’ll bash into Max all night whereas Max held the advantage over Biklavs.

If this game was like playing Wolfenstein 3D I'd definitely be playing on 'Don't hurt me' difficulty

Go Dees, a little late but let’s start 2025 the way we want to end it.

Jack Viney's blind kicks forward do my head in. I get he gets it under pressure in a contest situation but ffs have some poise.

Kozzy's disposal under pressure is so much more creative.

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.

  • NON-MFC: Round 09

Round 9 kicks off out west with the Dockers hosting a Collingwood side resting several stars. Fremantle need to make a statement on their home deck after some disappointing form on the road, while the Magpies will be keen to maintain their Top 2 position. Friday night sees a must-win clash between two sides desperate to stay in touch with the eight. St Kilda have shown glimpses while Carlton are clinging to relevance after a flat start to the season. Saturday’s twilight game at Marvel pits the Bombers against a struggling Sydney outfit. Essendon can’t afford another close match against a lower-ranked side, while the Swans risk sliding down the ladder even further. Up in Darwin, the fourth-placed Suns will look to extend their stay in the top four. The Bulldogs have hit their stride with three big wins on the trot and will be very keen to consolidate on their momentum. The always fiery Showdown looms as pivotal for both clubs. Adelaide are eyeing a spot in the Top 4 with a win, while Port Adelaide’s season could slip away if they drop another game and fall further behind the pack. Sunday begins with a yawn fest between Richmond and West Coast. The Tigers need to bank the points to stay clear of the bottom two, while the Eagles are still chasing their first win of the year. The Giants face one of the league’s toughest road trips as they travel to GMHBA Stadium to face the Cats. With GWS at risk of a third straight loss, Geelong will be eager to consolidate their position inside the eight and start their climb up the ladder. The round wraps up with the top-of-the-table Lions heading to Ninja Stadium to take on the second-last Roos. The Lions should easily take care of the struggling Roos who might be powerless against the best in the comp. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?
