The Goldie is a great place to expand the brand Petracca, while Melbourne is not so good.

Tracks Trattoria, Petracca pizzas, maybe he will take less, I bet my bottom dollar football is secondary, and there is some other stuff going on.

Trac choosing GC is all bout lifestyle, with Noosa as he spends lots of time there, wants away from the AFL bubble and to focus on his brand.. Club needs to play hardball to get a player and picks and part ways asap as King needs clear air and one player cannot control the narrative & that goes for Oliver, there are 40 other players on the list, Trac is all about Trac and just seems to want to punish the club! watch the Video of him getting his 1st game from Roos,what $$ & fame do to people is sad

He had been 5 years free of concussion.

I am pretty sure he didn't stop being physical all of that time. But of course the AFL permits thuggery on the field.

Why are we to be punished for trying to sure up a player long term in a good faith dealing when injury ended the career. Why must we suffer a consequence in this instance?

We aren't benefiting from the contract in any way, we didn't do a sneaky, why the punishment for us?

Brayshaw deserves all the money in his contract and more but from the club's point of view it was a risk to give someone with injury history like that a long term deal, and it clearly backfired.

Injuries are a part of the sport though. Many careers have been derailed by injuries. Long term deals are buyer beware. The AFL is hardly punishing us, they gave us three years of relief.

If he was heart and soul why was he talking to Freo and prepared to use them as leverage against us.

I get it. players want to maximise their earnings while they can. I would do the same but there has to some cold logic applied to these negotiations as well.
