When was the last time Melbourne:

- Conceded this many marks in defensive 50

- Conceded this many scores from centre clearance.

Chandler? You got to be kidding, he may have the desire but his executions ... 🤦🏻

Easily our best on ground.

I mean, seriously, he leads us for marks inside 50, goals, score involvement and metres gained, is behind only tall defenders for 1%ers, going at 75% disposal efficiency.

Has been our only clear winner on the ground.

The fence sitters to sign up as members just fell off the other side and off the cliff 🧨

Memberships numbers will drop even further with this [censored]

I want to see a lot of players dropped after today.

But what I really want is every single person at the club responsible for not fixing our fwd line issues that have been so glaringly obvious for just too long.

Surely that's fair.

I think those of us who pay their membership and go each week deserve a lot better than this. Much, much ,much, better.

It's hard to understand that we won a flag less than only FOUR years ago.

And how far we have fallen since we almost beat the 23 premiers and we're likely to win a flag.

I guess there are a couple of superstar midfielders that let us down and the club has done the rest.

It's a shame really. I know it's early days but I think this will be a bad marker like that Freo game when things went belly up.

I know it's not Goodys fault but I think it's alarm bells now and time to panic.... Time for a sweep for me.

Cheers guys.

Going to be great seeing the happy clappers gloss over this performance

Disgusting and disgraceful are the two most apt words

It can't be overstated how pathetic our football skills are

Thanks for killing the team Simon

Some of these comments are absolutely absurd.

Xerri is best ruck in the comp and still on the rise. Max had one bad game against him. He doesn’t need to retire after one poor game.

Langdon was a bright spot last year and he’s being asked to shift roles this year. He’s had a bad game. Doesn’t mean his career is over.

Get a grip people.

What’s happened to the Trent Rivers who was supposed to be our breakout midfielder this year?

We can’t even attract any quality free agents because they know we’re a basket case due to the selfish actions of some our supposed leaders.

I cannot wait to see what the defenders say about this performance; wet last week, I didn't have enough sleep, or their loading, spin it all you like. It’s woeful, one-paced midfield being showing up again.

Agree it's been an issue for far too long. But the absolutely lunacy and idiocy of the kicking i50 is just as bad an issue, if not worse. From seasoned, best and fairest winning midfielders. One in particular today.

Imagine the crowd next week against the Gold Coast. Glad I've got other plans

All I have to say is [censored] ‘em… they are so disinterested and making zero effort. Absolutely hopeless!!!! And that’s coming from an eternal optimist.

Yep. The lack of effort is very evident. I’m honestly a bit shocked.

Dunno what’s happening within the group/club, but second game of the season and playing like this is a massive concern.

Was there a wedding or 21st last night. Maybe fat boy slim gig. Either way our prep was terrible to put on this display.

No need to be alarmed, we’re 3.3% above the bombers on the ladder.

I’m up in level 3 with two Roos-supporting mates. Good times.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
