chin, fullarton werre both playing in the intra-club last week, i think?

i think all those pre-season returnees should, fingres crossed, be 'right' for round 1

as such the order is really...including Tholtrup who was missed...with approximate return order...

Kysaiah Pickett (suspension) - round 4
Judd McVee (hamstring) - after round 4
Koltyn Tholstrup (bone stress) - after round 6
Luker Kentfield (pneumonia) - TBC
Shane McAdam (achilles) - 2026

Update as at 23 February 2025

Tom Fullarton (hamstring) - pre-season return
Marty Hore (broken hand) - TBC
Luke Kentfield (pneumonia) - TBC
Shane McAdam (achilles) - 2026
Judd McVee (hamstring) - TBC
Jake Melksham (hamstring) - pre-season/early 2025
Andy Moniz-Wakefield (ACL) - 2026
Kysaiah Pickett (suspension) - round four
Christian Petracca (ribs) - Fremantle practice match
Charlie Spargo (achilles) - pre-season return
Caleb Windsor (foot) - Fremantle practice match
Jack Viney (ribs) - Fremantle practice match

Tom Fullarton (hamstring) - pre-season return
Marty Hore (broken hand) - TBC
Luke Kentfield (pneumonia) - TBC
Shane McAdam (achilles) - 2026
Judd McVee (hamstring) - TBC
Jake Melksham (hamstring) - pre-season/early 2025

Kysaiah Pickett (suspension) - round four

7 players on the injury list is far from ideal. Add into that a few not at 100% including Windsor and Spargo etc and our depth will be tested by round 1. Luckily not too many stars in the list but we 2-3 injuries away from a real problem

Hore just can not get a run at it. I rate him but so so unlucky.

I'm absolutely gutted for AMW, I genuinely saw him as a player that could push for regular selection and potentially be in the 23 this season. Adding to that, much like McAdam, he had put in so much work in the off-season and now he has to put in the hard work in rehab to get back out there.

It highlights how bad it is for fit players to waste games getting suspended.

Far from ideal but two are meaningless to our AFL team (Fullarton and Kentfield) and two others were replaced in the SSP.

I’m hazarding some guesses but here goes -

Judd McVee (hamstring) — TBC
Jade Melksham (hamstring) — pre-season/early 2025
Andy Moniz-Wakefield (ACL) — 2026

WTF. Where'd you get this from?

WTF. Where'd you get this from?

The ailment occurred as van Rooyen was leading in the front third, with the concern similar to what the young forward has dealt with in the past.

van Rooyen wasn't risked for the remainder of the game, with Melbourne able to call on draftee Aidan Johnson as his forward replacement for the remainder of the match.

Speaking after the 19-point loss to the Dockers, Melbourne assistant Troy Chaplinprovided an update on the hampered forward.

"He's had it before but not to that extent," Chaplin said.

He went to lead out and it just grabbed, so we tried to get him up and going in the first quarter, hence why 'AJ' came on.

"It just wasn't worth the risk. He's pretty sore but he'll be fine for Round 1. He'll have a few days off and get some time with the family (in WA) and he'll be ready to go for Round 1.

He'll manage (the concern) and we'll look at his preparation, but it just sort of came out of nowhere for him."

Exactly. Why did Chelly write 'Round four'?

Has this been confirmed anywhere?

No. It's a MFCSS style prediction.

The only official statement is he will be fine for round 1.... but we know how that went for Bont and Jagga

I think the latest is:

Fullarton - played for Casey I believe

McVee - Expected back round 3

JVR - TBC but supposedly ok for round 1

Spargo - played a half for Casey

Tholstrup will be out until mid season I think... unless he is tracking ahead of schedule.

My best guess is the full list as follows:

Marty Hore (broken hand) — 3-4 weeks
Luke Kentfield (pneumonia) — TBC
Shane McAdam (achilles) — 2026
Judd McVee (hamstring) — Round 2 or 3
Jake Melksham (hamstring) — pre-season/early 2025
Andy Moniz-Wakefield (ACL) — 2026
Kysaiah Pickett (suspension) — round four
Koltyn Tholstrup - 8-10 weeks

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
