Get it done, Dees. Get it done.

And while at it, another year for Tmac and Milkshake too, please 🙏

Not too much to ask...

they’ll offer us something. But no way they’ll pay full value

My thoughts also. Using this route Eagles might even sweeten the deal for McVee.

My guess is a third rounder which given the Eagles ladder position is almost a late second from most clubs

That doesn’t sound right at all. Don’t we just have to match the salary of the club that puts an offer forward or something to that effect?

Walking to the PSD and MFC getting duped would be a major FU move by any player let alone Judd.

Doesn’t sound like he is going any way but the AFL needs to close that loop hole by offering a compensation as a minimum. I don’t see how that’s different to clubs that bid on players like the Essendon / North deal for McKay.

I would imagine that Judd would have to take a pay at W.C due to Reid's massive wage next year.

Only if they're a restricted free agent. McVee isn't a free agent, so normally would require a trade even when out of contract. But given WC are 18th, they get #1 pick in the preseason draft and we'd get nothing.

But you're right, would be a real 'screw you' move, which I don't think McVee would do. But I also think he'll re-sign

When was the last time a player went to the PSD because a deal couldn't be done?

Judd is really important player for us i reckon.

He has only recently been getting somewhere near his best this season but that is because his injuries completely derailed his season (ditto for Kolt to a lesser extent, Lindsay whose PCL meant he had a sub optimal preseason - the impact of interrupted preseasons cant be underestimated, partic for young players).

By far our biggest need is elite kicks and when on Judd is arguably our best field kick. Totally agree that Judd likey wants to play half back rather than being the main small/medium lock down defender. And like you i suspect the only reason he hasn't is the injury to AMW who was primed for the key role of small/medium lock down defender.

Judd's best position IMO is not a mid it is an attacking half back flanker that has the green light to run off his nominal opponent, be aggressive and push forward (would love him to be takin a high number of inside 50 kicks) and take on high risk kicks on transition that open up opposition's zones defences.

That role has become one of the most critical in footy given how important ball movement is atm. A player that comes to mind that plays that role super well (and a player i would love to come to the dees) is Kitty Coleman.

Hope his ego can take it.

Because I agree completely. The pace of the game is too quick for him in the midfield, but off the back of stoppage he could be a weapon.

Hard conversations to be hard.

Where's he going DDD?

Judd McVee is gone, he hasn’t signed yet which means he’s out, he’s been playing like he’s already got his head at Wet Toast or Shockers

i suspect it may have been jackson hateley, who left gw$ two years after being drafted at pick #13 to go to the crom in 2020

they couldn't get a deal done, so he joined the latter via the psd

he only lasted two years there and is now in the vfl, i think

https://www.afc.com.au/news/835814/crows-set-to-take-hately-via-pre-season-draft

The Crows could not reach an agreement with the Giants prior to the end of the AFL Trade Period on Thursday evening.

Crows General Manager List Management and Strategy Justin Reid said Hately remains committed to wearing the tricolours next season.

“Jackson wants to be at the Crows in 2021 and given we have the first pick in the pre-season draft, we will be able to make this happen," Reid said.

Was Jack Martin from the Sins to Carlton not PSD?!

It doesn’t happen often but that’s just because the club the players is leaving usually accepts a very average pick rather than getting no pick.

Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. At worst let’s hope he does what Nibbler did a nominate a state not a club.

They will have plenty available. More than plenty. Allen going as well.

Yep, Martin was a 2019 PSD by Carlton. And Hately 2020. So a few

I was 95% certain he’d sign a new contract. But as time goes on, the confidence level is dropping. Now 50/50 he stays. Maybe he waits until the new coach is appointed.

watson, moore, and ginnivan is a helluva small combo to come up against this weekend

he'll need another big game defensively

3 or 4 in 5 years is one person few and an another's bugger all

Why the hell would anyone in a starting 22 of a club that is not West Coast, choose to go to West Coast?

Might I just say its mighty presumptive to suggest ( categorically) that the Weagles might not heave themselves out of the cellar.

Their history over recent decades might be considered better than ours !!

Sure, but also not like it never happens

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
