I've watched all the videos available on YouTube and he's dropping sitters left right and centre.

Check out the Jefferson vs Western Australia video below for a point of reference. Kid looks like a gun compared to Armstrong.

A lot of Jeffos goals were free or uncontested 😬 I have to say it , He also looks a little timid . Bit of  Jwatts .

as for Armstrong , JT won’t pick him .

They’re not highlight videos.

Well they're the only videos 99% of us pundits have access to, and of all the videos available of the current crop, Harry's videos fill me with the least amount of confidence.

IMO Armstrong is actually a pretty good key forward prospect, the issue is more so that he’s a very similar style of prospect and player to MJ (and JVR) for that matter. He also doesn’t help us contend for the next year or 2 which might play a factor to try keep the group together and maximise the time left for the vets.

Armstrong’s one wood is his set shot accuracy, he just doesn’t waste any chances which never looks flashy on a highlights reel but is obviously one of the most important traits for a key forward. In that way he reminds me a lot of Larkey as a player and in the way he plays as a low possession high scoreboard impact player.

How many list spots do we have? Is Tomlinson staying or delisted?

Like some have said, splitting pick 9 is a bad idea. Go through the last 10 years of drafts. Compare success rate of picks 1-5 to that of 6-10 and so on. 2019 (I think) was the deepest of the lot as I suspect this one is.

Most drafts picks 1-5, 7/10 are decent or better. 6-10, 4/10. 2019 was deep so 11 out of the top 13 were decent or better (IMO).

I'm no draft expert but the numbers don't lie on just how important 2 top 10 picks in a deep draft is. Of course you have to be a good recruiter to not get it wrong, it has to be easier than plucking one in the 40s though.

History is against the talls. Particularly forwards in the top 10.

Personally would like a mid with some size. Langford ideally. Has the versatility to be a forward too if he failed to be a mid. Pick 9, next best mid.

Haha If I were to “mark your words” Picket (and there is an awful lot of them) I’d say on average 5/10

My mail is that he has beefed up considerably, that plus his footy skills and footy I.Q lead me to believe the same! Go the Jeffo Juggenaut!

Wow Just what the doctor ordered!!!  The good news continues ever since Brad Green took over.

Next a post on McAdam will have him also fit and ready to fire.  Anyone know???

Sure armstrong will become a good player, but surely we don't take another key forward 3 years running?

If we go list needs then wouldn't a defender be more of a requirement than forward? (we can swing him forward anyway lol)

Personally would like to go with two best available mids regardless

Reckon in terms of talls a proper ruck/fwd is our biggest need rather than a pure key fwd

Acknowledge that May/McDonald are getting on but we've got a lot of potential options in defence (May, Lever, Petty, T Mac even Disco as an option, who knows maybe a Jed Adams even kicks on)

I'm in the 2 x medium sized player camp too, unless we get creative with pick 9 and split it

They could be looking at drafting another key forward and turning JVR into that ruck/forward role but in any sense we've got Jeffo untried and Petty/Turner still developing, plus one hook in Derkson if GWS don't give him flowers.

Reckon there's enough speculative talls out there to take a punt on but having the chance at taking two blue chip mids would be negligent to pass up

Where does he go? Richmond, Melbourne and St Kilda have all done their work on Armstrong with early selections. If he got through to Port Adelaide at pick No.13, he would be right in the frame too.
