Game over Essendon have done it again, first half season specialists. Almost fell sorry for their supporters , almost

Have they actually beaten any team that was in the top 8 any time this season???

How many days since they won a final?

Have the peptides cracked 7000 days yet?

*Target 20,000*

Why do people who choose to sit in the front row get annoyed at players who topple over the fence and knock their drink out of their hand? It's one of the more stupid reactions by the human race you're likely to see.

They beat Fremantle two weeks ago.

They also have wins over Hawthorn (Round 1), the Dogs and GWS.

But they've also had one of the biggest fixture leg ups we've ever seen, and botched it - they have not left Melbourne since 2 June, which was Round 12. It's now 16 August, and Round 23. They go to Brisbane next week, which means they didn't leave Melbourne for 12 weeks.

12 weeks. No travel.

And they're still going to miss the finals.

(the other fixture leg up goes to St Kilda, who finish this season with their last 6 straight games, and 8 of their last 9 games post-bye, at Marvel Stadium, and are also not going to make finals).

I just posted this on the Luke Parker thread but I’m posting it here too coz I can. Also coz I love it.

In fairness the odds of it happening are pretty low and as it was the very end of the game the bar would have been shut. I can feel his pain.

So they get in McKay & Goldstein & still miss finals.

Wonder if Goldstein will retire now.

Anyway essendon fans are going nuts on social media

Like every other football forum, but I do get a laugh out of the bombers and blues losses.

That would make it 7286 days for the Bombers which equates to 20 years since they won a final. The iPhone had just been released 😆

Let’s hope for another 20 years.

I've stopped watching the footy shows just because it's doom & gloom but I do watch footy classified on Mondays just to hear lloydo moan about the dons failing again

GO SWANNIES!!!!

Smash the pathetic hacks, shatter their finals hope.

I’ve seen three people in the crowd who I don’t know personally but I see them around where I live. Rough AF. They’re just as scary on TV as in real life. I once saw one of them riding a push bike hands-free with a slab under one arm and fish n chips under the other and a cigarette hanging outta her mouth. She must’ve lost her driver’s licence coz in my suburb that’s the only reason anyone over 18 rides a pushy. True story

I bet she wasn't wearing a helmet either and riding on a footpath. Typical your suburb Essendon supporter - what a disgrace 🙃

Not sure on the MCG though.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
