I never said they are reading this thread. I said they probably Google their name and come to see what is being said about them. It's definitely not everyone, but as if an 18 year old isn't doing that.

And where is the ageist slur? I was making a point that most young men with an ego big enough to play footy, would be curious to see what is being said about them online.

Social media wasn't a big thing when I was 18, but I have a teenager and I can see just how they operate around this sort of stuff. I reckon you'd be shocked the amount of stuff that is written on here that gets back to players, either directly or indirectly.

And Trac wouldn't give one single hoot what anyone at our club thinks about him, let alone the supporters.

Wouldn't be so sure on this.

Petracca is as sensitive as it comes and takes things to heart. We see how emotional he gets in previous interviews and I know for a fact that Goody had to change the wayhe gave feedback to Petracca early days because he took things to heart too often and most likely still does when he had to give him strong feedback.

PAAAAAARK ME CERRA Has the Hamstrings of an ant A FRIGGEN BIG NOOOOOOOO 🤮

Yep, its an issue. How much is it intrinsic to him and how much due to Carlton's strength & conditioning regime which appears to have been mishandled?? What Cerra has, that none of the Carlton or Melbourne midfielders really have is a decent, accurate kick into the foward 50.

I think Tracc's new manager might have it's fingerprints all over these developments.

Planted the seed in Tracc's head that he can make more $$$ at another club plus bigger endorsement deals.

No such issues when he was under the tutelage of Paul Connors, I think Paul Connors was actually advising him not to go down this road.

I hope the right club have the draft and player capital to satisfy us or otherwise this could get quiet messy for the Tracc camp.

Do we know for sure that Tracca wants out?

If so, is he most likely angry at one or a few  people at the club?

Is this anger related to how his injury was handled? Being told to keep playing or events after?

Or perhaps towards staff or players over something else?

If he is and even if those concerns are legit is it right of him to move elsewhere?

Perhaps. I mean until we know the facts how can anyone make any judgment.

Or is it a case of all players should be loyal and overlook wrongs done against them for the sake of benefiting the club and it's future?

I feel that if Tracca wants out it's wrong.

And yea I'm contradicting myself because I don't have all the facts.

I also feel that Tracca if he hasn't should set these murmers straight. I may be wrong as he may have. ( I feel I'm just picking up snippets).

Maybe Tracca has been treated badly in some way.

But am I alone here in thinking that the club is bigger than just one person?

I mean if he is really devoted to our success shouldn't he stay and help us?

It's so conflicting.

I mean he's been a great player for us and seems so committed but now it feels somewhat the opposite.

This is the brain child of someone extremely close to Tracc.

This ^^^

In the end, we need to do what’s right for us. Trac has ensured what’s right for us is to move on.

Trac has got exactly what he wanted, a situation so bad that keeping him becomes untenable.

If the club plays a hard line and holds him to his contact, is it possible he raises Mental health concerns (linked to his horrific injury) as leverage.

If the public’s sympathy swayed towards him it would put the club in a very awkward position.

He's definitely not reading Demonland, of that I am certain. Sorry to disappoint Andy 😁

He would also know that by going about things in such a public manner and burning the club, that he would be getting little sympathy from both his teammates and the supporters. I doubt he expected anything else.

Seriously is this even a topic . Well Goody is not selling his club down the drain to build his brand so definitely Goody

If we’re so desperate to punt Trac out the door, you’d have to look at Cerra.

Clearly Carlton won’t release McKay.

Buckley    said it best on SEN  this morning . Its not the Christian Petrecca Football club.    Melbourne can sit back and let others work.        come to us with a good deal or No deal.         We hold all the cards.      Good trade  or come back with tail between the legs and grow up

Sounds like many in the media are starting to turn the screws on Trac in terms of his (or his "advisors") approach as this saga continues to play out.   Of course, the media would be salivating at the void this is filling before week 1 of the finals.  I though that not playing in finals reduces the anxiety levels of supporters.  Imagine if we did happen to make it to finals and this came out.

I wonder if his unhappiness started with the rumoured spray he copped from the coaches after fumbling the Carlton final last year? He probably didn't enjoy that too much...

Haha exactly.. the same ones who have now turned on Petracca in the main Petracca thread.

The irony is wholesome.

This is not the issue

Why are people entertaining trades like Cerra and McKay? Why not just let Tracc himself determine the trade?

Trade him to North, GC or Freo. You break a contract that is the cost.

If we relent and let him choose his destination we may as well package him with our first rounder.

If he does play in opposition colours in 25, it will have a level of animosity between the players and particularly the fans not seen since Carey. At least it will be a big crowd for him

Goodwin is one of the few people in my entire lifetime supporting this club that I have had faith in to drive a relentlesly competitive culture. He has been involved in winning throughout his career and he seems to be a determined competitor.

Sure there are still things he needs to improve but we would be a lot worse off without him in my opinion.

Did anyone mention the person ringing in to Tim and Garry (gee Garry made Tim look like a dill) and say that Petracca wants Roffey and Goodwin gone. Said he is very close to Petracca. Interesting.

Was thinking about brand Petracca - he may need to consider a brand manager because apart from letting himself get speccied on in a Colgate ad (-#cringe) he is absolutely killing his brand here - if some of the stuff being reported is true.

Perhaps sponsors won’t care, perhaps they will.

The Ralph Lauren stuff is a bit cringe too - photo in his hotel room with a mirror behind him…even my cycling product reviews are a bit morw pro than that!

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
