It's starting to sound as if his career is in doubt.

Reality is that we don't know the extent of the damage, we may need to wait until January to get a more clear picture.

Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't start the season.

This emphasises the fact that he won't be traded, there's still a lot of uncertainty about his mental and physical condition.

It’s taken 2 months for Trac to get the nerve up to talk to best mates at the club

You reckon he wants to front up to the media that have been spreading nonsense about him? Maybe he’s having a tough time mentally?

Why did he accept the interview then? Very strange to let it become public just to pull off just 1 hour before it.

It has been said many times during the last week.

The bare minimum would be 2 top 10 draft picks, is there any club that can satisfy that? (as well as being a contender).

maybe he thought he’d be up for it and then turns out he wasn’t.

For someone that is a public image of the club and the AFL, I can't understand this amateurish handling of his PR.

It's not like he is Clarry who is clearly not a guy who likes to be under the spotlight.

Yeah a couple of decades ago I had a sudden medical emergency with no warning that nearly killed me and certainly left me in a tough time mentally. But it convinced me to finally leave a job I hated because I ended up suffering with two internal demons. Later things slowly got better in a new work environment.

Maybe he didn’t want to answer a particular question.

Maybe instead of searching for ulterior or worst case scenario motives, it’s just a case of Trac thinking he was ready and ok to talk to the media but realising late in the piece that he actually isn’t.

Am I the only one that’s not concerned about him leaving? I don’t understand the panic stations on here.
How many times does the club need to categorically say that he’s not going anywhere?

What worst case scenario? 100% they will ask him about his future and whether he’ll be playing with Melbourne.

I hope he stays .

However we got two first rounders and a second for Jackson.

Why would we accept materially less for a better player if it ever came to a negotiation?

Every time I hear Davis speak I’m a bit blown away by how eloquent and effective he is at communicating.

I think he would be an excellent to any footy department. I remember listening g to him in trade radio last year and being super impressed with his knowledge and how he puts it across.
He evaluated key position stocks of every team in the league with great insights.
I’d love him at our club in some capacity.

Judging from the Ch7 lead in to the game they probably wanted to interview him in the Collingwood rooms.!!

I understand that, it's just bizarre you decide to go public. Announce it all over the media. Then pull out at the last minute.

He could alternatively send a message to the Melbourne supporters, via the club social media.

A bit left field but depending on his health situation he might even decide to retire.

My thoughts exactly, forget being traded it sound as if he's uncertain he can continue playing a physical sport.

if so that’s been his release and escape from the drama

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
