Which clubs actually have the capacity to trade for him?

Freo springs to mind, they're entering their window and have 3 x first round picks. Odds of me winning tattslotto probably better than Trac being a dokkah in 2025 though.

Hawks would be keen. But sounds like they're committed to bringing Barrass in which'll swallow up their picks.

GCS - see Freo

Most of the other Vic clubs either don't have picks (Pies), or do have picks but are in rebuild mode (Richmond). Then you have the teams in no mans land like Saints and Essendon which wouldn't be too exciting.

His family would love him to go to the Pies..before Demonland deletes my comment, the source is his father who fessed up at Crown Casino at about 2am after the Bluey Truscott about 5 years ago.

Petracca is close with Moore, Daicos and Quaynor at the Pies. I think they’ll offer future picks (1sts and some junk they have on their list) and we will be forced to do the trade.

Cue - Celine Dion our hearts will go on music….

Could’ve been worse, you could have described it like being at a Democratic Party rally.

Was this due to injury or fitness? My recollection was non fitness based  injuries

We led 3 of the 4 finals early before being overrun late. We mostly had full strength sides except for Petty last season. We couldn’t shake off the opposition even once despite close games.

I said this before. Not 100% sure if it was about Trac but it was reported around the time he was drafted that  the family of a player drafted by us went and complained to the AFL about their son going to lowly Melbourne when they wanted him at a prestigious club like Collingwood. I think it was Caroline Wilson who said this.

Will end up at Collingwood. No question in my mind.

There is no way that will happen. It’s 3 first rounders and the Pies only have a F1. They don’t have anyone they can offer us either. I think you can feel pretty safe about that one.

Yeah but he only comes as a full set. ;)

AFL to introduce future pick trading for up to 3 years in advance to facilitate Trac to Pies...watch this space!

Media people are saying why hasn't he commented.

It will be interesting to see if he's on afl 360 next Tuesday.

But I suspect if he did say he wants to stay at Melbourne & he loves the club people would still have doubts.

Can we just say this is all Darcy moores fault because if he didn't  hurt trac there wouldn't be this story probably

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised.

What a coincidence there is talk of trading further into the future.

first the afl mounts a wet lettuce prosecution of Maynard and the afl and club let Gleeson and McGuire off for their outrageous comments - as does our club - and now this

I’ve just run out of tin foil

Only half joking (I think?)

So why did trac sign a long term deal with us then???? All footy clubs have challenges and down periods, players need to deal with this and if you are a leader you stick around to help fix it not jump ship, I would be disappointed if trac after getting a a great contract, premiership & norm smith he wouldn’t want to be part of the solution

So, am I boring… or mentally unhinged? Which is it?

Please say mentally unhinged. Who wants to be boring?!

The loss of Burgess has been keenly felt, I reckon. He was the instigator of leaving Jackson on the field at the end of the third quarter (Bang, Bang, Bang) - Goody just sort of agreed and broke the news to Max. Our injuries and our management of them - I don't know enough to compare Griffith and Burgess, but I do know that we have had plenty of problems with injuries 2022 onwards. Getting Burgess back (dream on) would be a major victory for the club.

That is literally the fifth version of the same events ive read in this thread alone.

You kind of answered your own question. He isn’t a leader. He is a glory hunter. Enjoyed the glory period and now it’s all too hard and he doesn’t want to contribute to fixing it. His best mates ANB and Brayshaw are gone, the relationship with Clarry is strained, and Salem is almost done.

If he ends up at Collingwood I will expunge every memory or thought I ever had about footy and follow lawn bowls...

This topic is so depressing!  I’ll be so relieved when our season is finished and hopefully all this garbage will be sorted out!

just wait until the off season then 🤷‍♀️

Still good mates with Moore after his raised knee lacerated his spleen 6 months after the Maynard incident? Doubtful for mine

With every day that goes by, the more it appears to be heading in that direction.

im not having him leave to a power house. He can go to GC in exchange for

Pick 7, 12 and Ben King/Mac Andrew

Tracc wants to play in front of BIG crowds. With GC he’d be pushing to play in front of crowds, period.

It might help if the midfield is half decent.

Midfield doesn't make him miss a simple target by foot or make errors under pressure.

Can't just put all the blame on the midfield for all our faults this season. Senior players like Lever need to take some form of responsibility and to me he's been poor this season.

His inability to spoil a much smaller and weaker opponent in Narkle pretty much summed him up for the year.

No I have no idea who's next best in line for captaincy.

Some [censored] rang up SEN this morning (Essendon supporter, enough said), and suggested Peter Wright and Parish for Petracca. Sad thing was, he was dead serious.

"THE DEMENTED MAN"

Which way shall I go????

I think Tracc might feel the same!

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
