Don't disagree with all you're saying, though there's some serious cherry-picking going on there.

But this for me is the crux of it and a point I'd disagree with. Our list has massive holes in it. Massive. And until that's addressed, the rest is just window dressing and deck-chair-moving.

Actually I agree ... the list has holes... gaps even.

But it's the game those that are there ( as opposed not ) are given tp play that is the more damning. Imo

That's not on the players.... is it ?

I agree with you Sir was calling for new coach end of 23

Green can't do anything I suppose until the next Pres comes back from the Amalfi coast

On return if he does return we need a board spill and get some members who will act

Smith if sane would probably not continue after his holiday

......perhaps they'll listen now... perhaps... maybe.... wtfk....🤷‍♂️

Of course we do. We need another one, and then another one, until we get a result that matches our agenda.

Confirmation bias on steroids.

What do you suggest we do as a Club Bing??

Unless a miracle happens, Simon Goodwin is gone.

Selwyn Griffth the head of fitness is probably gone too. Our 4th quarters are embarrassing. We just run out of steam?!

I think the bloke from "The Deebrief" was quite measured with his response.

In his last vid he said if we go 0-6 he’s going nuclear, I’m ready to see it.

We are zero and 5 . Easily the worst team in the comp. I honestly don’t know what the brains trust are thinking. For three years we have had no kpf’s , we struggle to reach double figure goals. We recruit a player at the end of 2022, he kicks 5 goals that could have been 8 in the reserves last week does he get a game last night. No we go with a bunch of short average players. We continue to play players who have been poor for weeks and in the case of Fritz for two years. Why is Spargo playing he was poor in 2023, played one quarter in 2024 and continues his form of 2023. He is a big average player doesn JVR think he can turn in [censored] for weeks on end and all is well. Wheels haven't fallen off we don’t have any. Sorry Simon is time to go. Give some of the reserves a chance. If Jefferson is fit play him next week, play Fullerton. Fritz and JVR to Casey plus Spargo. We need 5-6 changes next week. We need a coach with new ideas and a plan that our players can execute.

no one cares about losing fan favourites, we want to win.

Id settle for losing while being watchable if there was any progress with an attacking game style but we have actually gone backwards. Its worse than its ever been, averaging 60 points a game and getting flogged. Why any supporter would bother going to the footy to watch us play is beyond me.

Independent my [censored] .Independent is Peter Jackson going through the club with a machete. We paid some guy from the All Blacks to tell us everything is good and we just need love. Its the same board minus Roffey with Goody and Richo still running the show.

Throw the supporters who wanted blood some scapegoats like Stafford: "It was his fault we couldn't score" , meanwhile its got worse under Chaplin. Just maybe it had nothing to do with Stafford all along? hmmmm.... I wonder who the common denominator is??

Coterie Groups have always had a fair voice at Board Level

Many of them put in 6 figure amounts each year…

You miss the point here You Little. A voice and influence have different meanings. A big part of our poor history has been due being handcuffed to Coterie groups with money.

I’d rather be handcuffed by skill and knowledge, not money.

Hopefully the club examines Sydney’s departure with Longmire.

A departure held with class and not one person would think any less of Longmire’s legacy. Just a coach that ran out of ideas at the business end and needed a break.

We are almost the worst team in the comp with Trac, Oliver, Gawn, May, Langdon and co. We have talent such as Windsor, Lindsay, Langford and JVR.

That’s half a team.

I wanted to add Fritta to this list as well. At his best he is AA.

Change is what is needed. Goody plus others. No point in waiting IMO. start with the coach, others at season end.

Not quite sure where you are going with this comment….

When a Club has over $60 Million running through it each year, it does some talking.

Some Coterie Members were very influential in getting Paul Roos to the Club, so they are not all bad

I've found their content to be a bit sensationalist and controversial for the sake of it but they monetise a lot of their product so need to stand out I guess. I haven't watched anything of theirs in a while but did check out that video after seeing it mentioned on this site a couple of time. Personally, I didn't think what he said was a big deal. They're unlikely to get access to any current MFC employees this way but I'm sure they'd know that.

Allow those who have an idea run the club. Coterie’s do not have knowledge, they have money. Change should be in the hands of professionals, not dictated by those with money. Your theory would take the club back to the dark days of the 70’s, 80’s, etc.

Btw, the AFL was the main factor in getting Roos and Jackson.

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
