Longmuir lost that. Dogga had to be in at the last centre bounce.

Probably helps fitness-wise in the last quarter when you haven't travelled for 10 weeks and play an interstate side who travels every second week.

Still, that's despicable from Fremantle. Top 2 is on the line and they've lost to a side who hasn't looked capable for a month, from 25 points up with 15 to play.

But hear me out on this: Fremantle's had one decent win since Round 7, which was vs Sydney in Round 16, and even that now looks less strong given Sydney's fallen in a hole. Since Round 7 their other wins have been Richmond (twice), St Kilda, us (twice), GC and WC.

Essendon will beat GC next week. If Carlton lose to Hawthorn, Essendon will move back into the 8 with two to play.

Admittedly their last two are Sydney and Brisbane, but with Sydney's form nosedive, how can you say right now that Essendon can't win that? If they win that, they get to 13.5.

The only saving grace here is the prospect that they can still miss finals from 13.5 (Carlton and Hawthorn have easy fixtures to get to 14 wins, the Dogs too, and Fremantle just needs one win to get to 13.5 and will hold them out on percentage if needed).

Freo could have stayed top 2

They gave up 5 goals in the final term.

Now they've kept essendons final chances alive.

They were in total control.

Ugh

Watching Freo and Essendon,

we need a lot more speed.

Agree.

And both teams really looked to exploit that when they played us.

One pays holding the ball, one pays dangerous tackle.
Why does dangerous tackle win out?

They should have to duke it out.

Vs Billing’s, macadam , schache, Hunter , Fullerton all staring & @ vfl level, not sure how they got this so wrong and can’t expect all to impact but barring Hunter who is struggling we have no gains

Duuuude how about you take this to an MFC thread? Please. It’s not a big ask and I’m asking nicely. Some of us love this thread while watching NON-MFC matches. One post sooking it up about our club here and there is bearable, but you’re like a broken record… over and over again. It’s insufferable.

Thanks Kelly Underwood for that lovely description.
And good afternoon to all the  personal care workers and residents out there.

Right???! It’s [censored] annoying and it’s at a point where this thread is meaningless because it’s no longer only about NON-MFC matches. It used to be fun watching those matches while on this thread but it’s become contaminated and is only getting worse.

So that would mean only 2 finals in Melbourne  6v7 and the GF.

2006 was close. Top 4 were all interstate.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

A couple of intrepid Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock for the midweek Preseason Training Session to bring you the following observations. Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
