How many lollipop goals have we conceded by getting sucked up the ground?

Didn't learn a thing from the 1st game.

Billings has often shown poor kicking skills, i am damned if i know why he was even selected.

What's with us not turning up when playing Fremantle? Twice in the season already.

Of course not having a ruck has killed us all around the ground, but the effort has been subpar compared to the last 3 weeks.

I just want to see us fight in the 4th, not just roll over. Percentage will be huge to have any chance.

It’s a little bit of effort but it’s a lot of them being just an awful match up for us.

They’re better than us and at home too. It’s not all effort or coaching or some other conspiracy.

Billings. Saints still laughing. He’s goalkicking his skills his tackles are POOR. WEAK!!!

He can’t even score from 35 metre out!! 💩💩💩💩💩💩

He and Sparrow have a hopeless skill set

We are 100 miles of deserving to play finals.

This trade and draft period will be incredibly important to our success next year and in 2026.

As the new Tassie team and the northern state academy gifts swallow up the top picks for a number of years, we face an aging list without a ruck, key back and multiple elite midfielders, and that's not to mention no key forwards.

Nail this trade and draft period and we can compete again for finals. If not, we risk sliding back down to familiar cellar dwelling territory.

One thing is clear, we cannot win another flag with this list

At least the Kidney Puncher (Pearce) is injured. Hope it’s his season. Karma for hitting Kolt you thug.

Disco with an all time nearly day. Had first hands on over half a dozen contested marks and dropped them all!

I can understand them being better, specially if we don't have Max.

But see how we thought Brisbane would smash us and kick 20 on us? Then with dare and effort we almost won it.

At least make it a slogfest, low scoring proposition and see what happens. Don't let them kick 7 in a row.

Anyway, hopefully we can keep the score as close as possible in the last.

And to think, Roos apparently wanted to draft him had we kept pick 2 instead of trading it for Tyson and Salem

What happened to the Sparrow that kicked from outside 50 in the GF? 😮‍💨

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
