Some of these responses to a perfectly reasonable take are baffling considering there have been so many worse meltdown comments this week.

I understand that people love a certain member of the cheersquad and it hurts their feelings when they read these things about them but it's not right to parade around this position of power and strength and then spread stuff around. I'm pretty sure there are rules here against it.

Look, I don’t want to hammer you about this….

But regarding said poster (and any others who may fall into a similar category), I get that you might not consider their input as useful or relevant to your needs, but calling people who devote their time and put words into actions for the club we all support here “losers” seems unnecessarily harsh.

I’ll just leave it at that

If clarry does to well bring in a talented kid and maybe a depth signing but wouldn’t be able to properly replace him for a year. Less than ideal, so imagine he stays. But anything can happen, just need to get through these next few days

All this source nonsense reminds of an episode a few years ago when I used to attend training regularly.

I discussed with the coaches, who were a bit sick of some of the interesting posts on here, and like myself looking for a bit of amusement so I posted something in a training report which was complete [censored] about a player.

The next day there it was being reported by a so called journalist word for word.

The coaches discuss Demonland posts? As if they care about a lowly message board?

If they don't care about the media then surely they don't  care about us nutcases

Is it only unreadable because the rumours are seen as negative towards the MFC? Are you ok with people posting that we are still actively trying to recruit Wade Derksen, even though Jason McCartney has publicly shut down any move?

Whilst the powers that be at the MFC have shut down Oliver being traded, I've no doubt that Oliver's management are still in discussion with the Cats to get a reasonable trade proposal on the table. And I'm sure that's where PF's rumour is coming from. If it doesn't eventuate, it doesn't mean that his rumour was incorrect.

That’s the farcical thing. The very posters that will uncritically claim that all ‘anti’ (sic) MFC reporting is ‘BS’, are the very ones that will never be critical of ‘complementary’ reporting. You cannot credibly claim media is ‘BS’ when it doesn’t suit agenda. Still, those certain individuals will continue to act in this way. It’s nauseating.

We will literally never be able to replace the 2021-22 Clayton. We have to weigh up whether putting up with this circus is worth a chance at him getting back to this. Or cut our losses, and move on.

Are you really this thin skinned? Every time someone expresses dissatisfaction with the club's decisions you just resort to cheap personal attacks.

Yet they’re happy to throw out terms like ‘bullying’ and ‘harass’ when you have some sort of opposing discourse.

For those of you who get annoyed by posters on here, but still want to contribute, I developed a coping mechanism a few years back that helps keep it all fun.

I imagine certain posters as fictional characters. One is George Costanza, another is Eeyore from the Winnie the Pooh books, and another is Dwight from the Office. Then when I read their posts it makes me laugh, and helps me remember they are just people.

Whatever you need to do to stick around I reckon. This place needs all the opinions, but it’s the most fun when nobody takes it too seriously.

I do the same but I just imagine there is excrement on their head.

In relation to the off field bad press it is common for the opposing party in an action to feed bad press to the media. It appears that the media maybe being fed 'stories' to put a huge amount of pressure on the Dee's to perhaps eek out a huge settlement. Let's face it - the press has been unrelenting for a couple of years.

As BB said "its never as good as they say or bad as they say".

Then the press blame it for our performance on field. It maybe partly responsible but its also due to us playing an unusually large number of young players. Also injury to Tracc and retirement of Brayshaw plus Oliver's issue.

I think our list management and football department are forward thinking in playing talented kids and recruiting  early in the draft. I hope we trade our future 1st and maybe 2nd to get another early pick in this draft. At least we have some 'guns' still playing to educate the youngsters. Eg, Gawn, Viney, May, Lever etc

Everyone please remember the conflict resolution and relationship repair sentence starters;

I feel... (say something about a particular negative feeling - don't generalise)

Because... (give the reasons for that particular feeling - don't go wider)

I would prefer... (describe a realistic change that would help mitigate that particular feeling)

People who expect other people to publically name their sources are ridiculous.

Ive had two sources in my time and neither of them would have stayed a source at all if I had outted them, one former employee of MFC and a guy I play golf with every fortnight who knows people through sports management. Naming the would have just strained that relationship and their own employment.

What does how the event was organised or my understanding of how it was organised have anything to do with someone getting blind drunk and harassing players? The B&F isn't an opportunity for fans to buy a ticket and do whatever they want. The guy has had to put up with all sorts of garbage in the media surrounding his future and you're all for this?

There should seriously be guidelines for entry to this event and controversial topics of conversation shoud be forbidden like here, no offence.

So if I'm sitting at a table and I mention to a mate that "it's good to see Clarrie in attendance and I hope he stays" I should be frog marched from the function? Or if I note that Christian Petracca's cannelloni recipe ain't that good and a rip off. Escorted out?

No doubt your the smartest person here (I've ascertained this through a number of your posts) but you're seemingly berating others for having a different view to yours. All that's missing is the CAPS. .........no offence.

I'm reminded of the quote from 'Stripes'.................lighten up Francis.

Of course the club monitors this site, there was another incident where the coaches were looking for a particular poster to have an open and frank discussion.

You're being silly and since you've had 2 days to respond to the post you're responding to this isn't your best work Return To Glory.

How about do discussion at the event on controversial topics discussed in the media? This is quite different to 'hoping Clarry will stay or talking about a recipe. If you can't understand this then you must have had trouble when Andy put the rules in place about unsubstantiated rumours as well. No offence.

Cool movie though.

Even if a person names their source, people still won't believe them, so there's really no point.  They can't win either way.
