Darcy Wilson is a player we should look at with a skill set that is on par with what we're lacking, he is impatient and wants to play but ross has seen flaws in his game (understandable for a young player) and they dont get along overly well (possibly also because wilson hasnt taken the feedback too well) given the draft it is, if we could bring him over its probably worth sacrificing the earliest pick we end up with? could immediately step into a mid rotation rather than being a half forward player

If Nasiah walks, he’s likely a walk up start next year.

it may not be up to them, his value may also never been higher, if he flops or continues to clash with ross and spends another year in the 2s hes worth nearly nothing at least after 3 years he can still move on potential

no club really wants to keep an unhappy player. they could lose him and go and get tsatas or hobbs or erasmus for less and might get the same output

In addition to Wilson who would be one of my top targets, McCreery would be another player in my top 2 -3 in terms of a current wish list. He would add significantly to our forward line; this year he's currently ranked 19th in the AFL for tackles inside the forward 50 (ranked as elite this year, as well as over his career), and he can hit the scoreboard. Given goals aren't necessarily his biggest contributing factor, he is a player that would really increase our forward 50 pressure and he is able to play as a linking player outside of the D50 and bringing the ball into the F50. Personally think he can actually also hold a mark, unlike many of the players we have moving through the forward. He's still only 24 too.

Not sure I'd say spectacularly bad. The Dawes trade wasn't fantastic, where we sent Pick 20 and 45 and received Dawes and 58 in return, though I'd say that was more because of the career that Dawes had with us in the end. Would it have been slightly different in Clark worked out for us? Maybe, but who knows.

Probably the only trade that wasn't great was the four way trade with us, Collingwood, Port and Adelaide. Where we received Ben Kennedy, Pick 29 and 50, and gave up Howe and Toumpas.

Outside of that the only other trades I can think of are the Paul Ridley trade, Lumumba and Clark to Geelong, and then Grundy. I wasn't necessarily a critic of the Grundy trade either, it just didn't work out and I think we were partially to blame - I wasn't necessarily unhappy with the trade per se.

Yeah it definitely feels he's been around a far bit longer than what he has. Great player with talent and diverse range of competencies.

Yep I saw that and thought immediately that we could give him that opportunity. Can play as a wingman in both defence and forward, is athletic. However I would assume there would be competition, maybe with teams like North. But worth chasing

I like him, has genuine speed and uses the ball well. Was a bit loose defensively but wouldn't read too much into that given it was his first game back and playing in a poor team.

Him and Windsor on the wings could be real line-breaking weapons to help our transition game.

Anyone watch D. King on First Crack tonight? Just repeated what I've been saying since 2021, not enough elite talent has come in to this club in those years, and our strengths have degraded because we are still relying on the same few players to win us games.

Yeah, I watched that. I was surprised that I was agreeing with Kingy. But it is obvious to most the club hasn't brought in the right level of talent to replace what we have lost since the 21 flag if we were being realistic about having another crack at it. How do you replace Dogga, Hibbo, Gus, Brown, Nibbler etc. though? It can be difficult to bring in older talent and there hasn't been a great amount available especially in key positions that we could have brought in. I think we may have also been constrained with our salary cap.
