He took Keane completely out of the game, a very selfless role

Kicked 0 goals/5 points.

Fit right in at Melbourne !!!

Seen some posts around Cam Mackenzie. I don't really see the hawks letting him go, especially if they lose Worpel. However if they do land another A-Grade Midfielder, then they would likely put one of Mackenzie or even Sam Butler up for sale to the highest bidder. Butler I think could work with Kozzy switching between Mid and Fwd based on team needs really nicely.

Edit: Butler is a non free agent as well, so if wanted to leave, then it could get done easily. Has been tearing it up in a midfield role for Box Hill, forced the hawks hand to bring him back in for finals.

I think if we were to consider a trade to the Hawks of Petracca, someone like Cam McKenzie being included in a deal with draft pick(s) would be appealing potentially. I think he's someone who would add to our young core coming through and potentially give us some value.

The draft pool this year is pretty heavily compromised and i suspect with Tassie coming on board we're a little while away from a totally clear draft like what we had last year so we may have to get a little more creative to add to our talent pool.

It's why the idea of us doing a Richmond and trading everyone out for bulk draft picks is silly, the whole plan is based on the idea there is talent available to us within that pathway

Chesser has requested a trade to the blues. Shame, thought he could have been a great addition to our team with his pace and disposal.

A trade period of just Wade Derksen and Max Heath..

Yay

If we can get Windhager and Flanders that would change our midfield mix nicely

Plus Derkson a young ruck in heath would be a good trade period imo

The trade period hasn't even started yet. Cool your jets.

I would expect us to work into the trade talks once the new coach is announced. We don’t have much to offer right now.

I don’t have jets.

That's a loaded question.

Clearly the sarcasm of my initial post which included a GIF went way above your head....

My settings block GIFs (they're really annoying) so I didn't get the full context of your post. As you were, then.

You’re living in the past, Petracca’s not that player anymore

I get the frustration, but calling it ‘living in the past’ ignores the reality. Petracca’s 2021 wasn’t a fluke — it was a peak that only the very best ever reach. He’s since dealt with serious injury, and naturally that knocks a player back. But form isn’t fixed. Class players rebound, especially when they’re still in their prime years.

Trac is still one of the few in our side capable of turning a game on its head, and that kind of player doesn’t just evaporate.”**

adding a new name to the watchlist, was raised on sen today as a trade target for victorian clubs but actually has been on my mind a while (i know people who know) jordan butts is down the order at adelaide, good shep boy his mates are down here in melbourne,

if he got 3 years security here i rkn he'd take it. assume north would have a look, maybe dogs/blues/dons/pies if we hadnt have been so set on may and mcdonald we mightve been able to have a look too. wont set the world on fire but billy frampton is a premiership player and he isnt 33 years old

doubling down on this being not a bad idea, for 26, ideally petty goes back and we play forwards forward first and foremost but out of contract next year we have

3x KPD may, mcdonald adams

1x ruckman -campbell

3x KPF - kentfield jefferson johnson even melksham as a fourth

we are going to need mature bodies who are afl standard to replace them, he isnt worse than a mcstay or gardner or frampton type now

Busy at the Dees with all our incoming.....

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
