We have zero mongrel. Can’t even be bothered watching this. If the players don’t want to show up anymore, why would we.

Are we loading again haha.
Simon has lost them…

Woeful quarter.  His head is not in the game and skills abhorrent in that quarter.

The forward line has no system, no method.  It's shambolic.

The filth were in their heads before they even ran out it seems.

We look like we've rattled ourselves!

No skills, no dare, no flair and no structure.

Petty Pffft

Needs at least 4 goals to retain his spot from here.   Soft as and just nowhere.

And yet Yze is doing g the same thing at Richmond as he wanted to do at Melbourne

Well we talk a good talk.

Why is Maynard still standing?

We are a soft team.

I don't admire the filth but can't blame them if we keep letting them manhandle us.

It's our own fault.

I was looking for the statement in that first quarter and got nothing.

Something is seriously wrong internally.

Hmmmm. Considering they have 11 best 22 out and 8 from their premiership side. Very weak looking, when we needed a ruthless, pressure manic statement.

Maybe a partial rebuild was been optimistic might need a total rebuild

Score review in 3 2 1…

Why I do believe we may have scored a goal

Billings in....

Just grim outlook for today and perhaps the season.

Yet, Woewodin can't get a game.

How good has Laurie been? In everything pffft

Wow.. that exactly wasn't the greatest cheer for a Melbourne goal from the crowd.

Well done JVR. great mark and finish

we are only 14 points down. you never know

Understatement: timely goal.

Lets try another before Q3?

We’re not far off a rebuild for mine.

Happy we got one flag out of this list but at this point we aren’t even close to a top 8 team.

RIP

Good man!!!!!!!!!!!! C’mon dees don’t lose it these bastards. Have some pride

Don't understand why Chandler's is still starting 🤷🏻‍♂️

Chandler continues his horrible form from 6 of the last 7 weeks

The Maynard thing has become boring and childish just grow up and move on.

Yep. Either flatten him or move on completely.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
