NON-MFC: Round 12

Ha the golden boy cost his team a goal.

He should have had a 50 metre penalty against before that for umpire dissent

The kid Reid is a terrific player - no doubt.

However, his lack of experience is showing out in this game.

I reckon he can expect a hard tag for the rest of the season.

Reid showing blatant umpire dissent but nothing happens.

Good on Harley Reid for brining the kind of competitiveness that wins matches. Not to dredge up the past, but imagine Jack Watts had his desire to win.

Blows my mind we dropped 4 pts to a rebuilding listless Meth Coke.

Can't never be sure of anything, but we had to be in a heavy loading phase.

You simply can't beat the same team (Saints) thats knocked off the team that's beaten you (Eagles) in the space of 2 weeks.

At the same ground also, doesn't add up.

Seeing the Saints beat West coast does make me annoyed because we couldn't do it. Yes I know west coast didn't have waterman or Kelly but the Saints still got the job done & actually looked better when king went off.

It's typical of Melbourne though

I don’t think the Eagles side we saw against us will ever return this year. It was like they drank something from the water before us just to knock us off.

Tigers fans booing Stewart

can't fault the tiges effort so far. they're cracking in.

Fair bit of yellow and black in the stands.

Has it been explained why Tiges r in black shorts and Cats r in white?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
