We look very switched on. That quarter fills me with confidence that @binman was on the money with his loading and fatigue theories for the first half last week. Ripper of a match so far, hope we can keep it up.

Yeah I think this year is going to be a write off. He is void of his usual confidence. Maybe having to pull his head in has really cut deep.

Holding the ball is red hot.. at least for anyone wearing red

Cats have managed to flood our fwd line like they did against Carlton.

We have been efficient going fwd compared to them thanks to our mercurial defenders.

Pressure is hot from both teams

Finish the quarter with higher disposal efficiency, we look good picking our way into their zone

Good start but must keep up our intensity

Both team showing their best, lots of running and great skills. Our foot skills tonight have been outstanding. If we continue to stall them moving through the wing with an extra player loose, we win.

Umpiring is a concern. Not from a bias point of view, but over umpiring minor discrepancies, and not seeing the ball being dropped by the tackled player. Frustrating.

Any chance we can get @binman to teach these channel 7 nuffies a thing or 2 on commentary? For ex-players and people who watch the game for a living none of them have any idea.

Specifically about why our stats look different to prior years and how we "just find a way to hang on" despite the stats not looking great 🙄

Best post ever.

Such passionate disdain.

Love it Layzie.

I want us to beat this arrogant mob so much.

I’m still a bit uneasy at how easy the Cats move the ball from D50. It just shows what an elite defence does. Our Midfield is still really average. Just need one of our boys to go off the charts. Just one and we can split this game open.

It's almost as if they decide beforehand which rule are we red hot on tonight.

Viney down for quite a while there

I predict a draw

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
