Petty again, shocking run up, too close, mis

Every time he's four feet away.

I reckon Lever handpassed that before the mark was paid. Any umpire worth his salt would call that back.

We would be murdering them if we could kick straight. Aaaaaggghhh!

Two appalling deliberates tonight - particularly the first against Salo - he was on the line when he first made contact.

Kozzie really needs a dressing down by the leadership - could very easily have had Petty's mark reversed. ย And will cost us vital games if he persists with these stupid unproductive acts.

BBB held EVERY single time he goes to mark the ball. No free kickโ€ฆโ€ฆ as usual. Pathetic.ย

Agreed. Needs to be told to pull his act together.

Thereโ€™s a time and place, which he is continually getting wrong. How about going in for a hard ball and hitting fairly?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFLโ€™s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.ย
