Reminder to everyone that it's a scratch match.

We lost comprehensively to the Bulldogs in the 2021 preseason game.

Geelong lost to Gold Coast in 2022.

Collingwood barely scraped past Hawthorn in 2023.

Yes true, but what a great time to trial plans to stop a run-on or get some composure. That is the concern - we just look lost.

Lucky we’re not playing Carlton…

Oops that’s next week…

Still got Oliver, Jefferson, Adams, Hore, Tholstrup, Verall and Seston to come later in the day.

Learning the cost of turnovers when we try and play more quickly and take the game on

leaves the defense open (which it hasn’t been for 3 years)

good to learn the risk/return and who we don’t want to have the exit disposal now.

it’s not even a real pre season game

can we relax??

Yep the posters that are going on about there's no pressure on the turnover, do they really think that's the way we're going to play in the season with no pressure

Fox footy half time was a disgrace.  4 [censored] eating something horrid and trying not to vomit.  Brilliant television (not!)

The big concern our skills are terrible.

nah

train the way you want to play

also are now in front on the only scoreboard that matters:

1 injury to the tigs, 0 to the dees

Wowsers… it’s a scratch match. Richmond giving away their game plan, we are not. Relax.

As Iverson said, it's practice you're talking about practice

What do you expect for  lousy billion dollars a year?

methinks you've completely misinterpreted what ai was saying - practice hard, play hard

Wait until next week, do you really want players to put there body's on the line for a scratch match, and get injured

Anotehr poor turnover, another tigers goal.

A bit of a pattern. I suppose you could blame it on our attempt to play fast football. Fastball is not our traditional strength

I am pleased the Kayo feed here is not working !!

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
