Any DL posters heading to the game today?

Can’t wait for the game and hoping the karma bus pays Maynard a visit, one way or another. I don’t hope he gets hurt, I just hope he has a stinker of a game and is one of the main reasons they lose.

Hopefully next year I’ll be cheering on the red and the blue rather than being a neutral in the crowd.

Maybe him getting hurt in a very nasty footy act brings some overdue change though.

Feel it’ll be the Lions day. Daniher is the key, if he can mark and dominate and kick straight he’s unstoppable

Pies have choked in GFs for decades

they are 3 wins from their last 16.

relax everyone. Maybe Bucks can give the pre match speech on how to choke

I really think in the Garand Final  the umpires are the best of the lot.
I note we have #21. And # 23. But not

free kick Carlton !

they will not have much influence

I feel sick in my stomach after what happened to Angus and then no penalty. I can still here them chanting while Angus lay unconscious on the ground. May the Lions win by a large margin.

They really are a despicable bunch.

Players and supporters.

Brisbane have the talent and should win, main problem, they can be a bit flaky, let's hope they hold their nerve.

Might get a half decent umpiring performance today but Lions wouldnt want to play a close 4th qtr. Pies will fall on the ball denying Lions access but the umpires wont have the courage to clear play by

penalising them. They'll give Pies benefit of the doubt. Ball up! Ball up again and again!  Siren sounds!!!!

OMF

Lions need to put Collingwood to bed by 3qtr time.

Any truth to the rumour that Demonland's very own make-up man @Bitter but optimistic will join Kiss on stage at the GF?

Someone with better photoshop skills than me can give us a sneak peek

This is the best I could do.  Couldn't find a suitable wig.  Worth noting the collar is a good match!!  I nearly put an after-party cocktail frock on Bbo so that he is suitably attired for that event but have run out of time.  Probably just as well...

As might be expected he is surreptitiously lurking in the background...

I hope to God he doesn't see this as I doubt Luci will ever be forgiven...or he will make my life on DL pure hell...

In case he does see this...it is...um...just a bit of fun...😉

For the first time in over 20 years I’m not going to actively watch the game. I’ll check the scores and if it looks like Brisbane are going to win I’ll turn it on and bask in the glory of the Collingwood players and fans crying tears of sadness.

2018 was anything but a choke.

Yeah, that was horrible in the last 5 mins against GWS. Just kept falling on it with the umps too ship scared to blow the whistle

Jed Adams third in the GF sprint final.

Surprisingly pacey for a big man.

Purchased a lotto ticket this morning

they were wearing a Collingwood jumper

i almost choked and then walked out !

Craig McRae just said you can’t just bomb it into the F50, but what would he know.

I’m still really filthy we should bloody be there today.
As long as Jeremy Howe has a dirty day my pain will ease

up with 2 minutes to go

just needed to spoil to the ball from two contests

faltered under pressure

extra bonus on the Lions winning will be two more ex bombers winning a flag

😂

Probably already been said, but we would have killed it in this heat if we were playing today. Very Melbourne to have to play the first final in the wet while the rest of September has been a scorcher.

Anybody know what the thread at the start of the year where we predicted who’d win the premiership is named? Want to have a peek but can’t find it

Conor McKenna winning a premiership would be great. 💚☘️

Mike Brady is on a good wicket working 3 mins a year.

Now there's a lot more things to football.......

There are days when you could give it up

Been a rough week, was almost not going to watch this game at all but I never miss it.

I hope it's a good game, but in a more accurate way I hope Brisbane smash them.

Would LOVE to see him with a premiership medal if for no other reason than to watch whoever interviews him struggle to understand him.

  • NON-MFC: Round 12

Round 12 kicks off with the Brisbane hosting Essendon at the Gabba as the Lions aim to solidify their top-two position against an injury-hit Bombers side seeking to maintain momentum after a win over Richmond. On Friday night it's a blockbuster at the G as the Magpies look to extend their top of the table winning streak while the Hawks strive to bounce back from a couple of recent defeats and stay in contention for the Top 4. On Saturday the Suns, buoyed by 3 wins on the trot, face the Dockers in a clash crucial for both teams' aspirations this season. The Suns want to solidify their Top 4 standing whilst the Dockers will be desperate to break into the 8.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
