LOL even the siren is happy for the Lions 🥳

A part of me feels better but a part of me is telling me what could have been.

This draft period is just so crucial on how the next few year will play out.

Last 6 weeks we had no luck whatsoever.

[censored] poor effort by the AFL to not get Carlton over the line in this game.

Gee …. those umpires were so BRAVE …. they really toiled so hard for their blue baggers … next year boys… u need more dodgy decisions don’t worry boys it will happen one day …. don’t firget your paper bags in the shower lads ….

Gil [censored] the bed late in his 2 year long farewell tour.
Umpire #22 had to get a call up for this match.

Blues fans get 40% of ticket sales away. assume the Lions get the same at the GF?

🙄😬

Possibly your best ever post.

Won’t find any non feral who disagrees.

There goes Gill's bonus from AFL sponsors 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Coleman played a fair game …. Only pipped for BOG by 4 umpires , but fair fame for 5th BOG 🤔

any chance Darcy Gardiner is available for a trade? not in the 22 usually

we need some key back depth

How come we didn't get the same treatment at Optus back in 2018?

We were lucky to have about 5000 supporters that day.

OK Mr Christian … let’s announce the 5 Lions on report to go directly to the AFL Tribunal…. what a naughty overly soft bump by Coleman boo hoo!!!

Sook it up bluebaggers. You can grizzle with the umps on the  long flight home. Why oh why?

QANTAS and Virgin will boost airfares humungus style and nothing will happen. Pay now Lions fans. Enjoy. I hope you win. The corporate airlines definitely win.

First finals game this year I picked correct

hope it runs through to next week

I am feeling more sick with every minute of this.

Feeling better now. We would not have beaten Brisbane without Pickett, Petty and Melksham. Hope they smash the filth next week.

Grand. We should catch up at a home game, next season.

I'm delighted Carlton have lost. Sick of hearing about them for the last 2 months.

Edited by BDA

just checked my watch

is it seriously only 8 o’clock?!

kids aren’t even in bed

luckily the Blues have a flight tonight so they are fresh for mad monday 😂

The Blues have had their version of our 2018. i’m looking forward to seeing them implode under the expectation of success next year

unlike us, we smashed it in 2019

Now just go and beat the filth lions.

Looking forward to thug Zorko KOing Maynard at the 3 minute mark - in a football action of course.

I’d like to see them headbutt each other and both fall graciously back simultaneously and hit the deck.

ouch bull GIF
I know one got straight back up but assume he’s stumbling worse than weitering (cause that’s not enough to get subbed!!)

How good would it be that Zorko takes out the thug first?

Maybe they could take each other out?

Goody needs to play the SEN Blues tossers call of our game at pre-season …. Our boys would take them apart …. If Jack Viney heard that commentary the baggers would be too scared to take the field !!!

You have a strong stomach to have listened to it

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons have the Bye next week but then are on the road once again when they come up against the Gold Coast Suns on the Gold Coast in what could be a last ditch effort to salvage their season. Who comes in and who comes out?

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
