Can we have another lockdown?

This is going to be a very long week here in Melbourne. So I'm banning myself from listening to the radio, football shows and social media. May even skip the Brownlow

The dog sat down on the bed and accidentally pressed the remote with his hefty bottom with 5 seconds left in the game. He is a therapy dog I tell you.

I'm in the dog house myself after refraining from watching it for 2 quarters then pulling a sneak peak and then proceeding to yell and scream at the TV for the duration.

I cannot wait for this season to end.

I just feel sorry for all the Demonlanders tonight the last few weeks have been hard and last week was devastating. We needed a lift and a Giants win would have been it. Instead we've been handed more crud sandwiches to chow down.

Not as hard as it has been for Maynard though. Spare a thought for the poor guy.

We get the drift 😂

It's not like any of us needed any inspiration to have a good heave at the moment.

Nothing like a ‘spewing gif-off’ 🤣

Gws actually scored more goals than them in the final quarter.

It was the 3rd quarter they let the pies back in it.

I hope next Saturday, cox, Maynard and Howe are crying after the siren because they've lost again

We also only watched the second half. But my husband hates Collingwood as much as I do. He was cheering on GWS.

I won't be watching the GF, let alone attend. (I'm an MCC member.)

I will be attending the Grand Final as an AFL member and if Carlton beat Collingwood  then I’ll reluctantly take it.

That would be the most reluctant of reluctant situations.

We could have beaten both of these sides. Except that we didn't.

Yep and that's something we have to live with and I hope some of our leaders are realising the opportunity they missed here

I’m watching the de Ronde vlan Vlanderan replay to take the edge off and it’s helping  . Cycling (and golf) seem better. My first road race in 13 years on Sunday and I am gonna burn some matches in anger

Well, at least one thing could have been worse than our straight-sets exit this year ---- losing by a point in a preliminary final. That will haunt the Giants for years to come. I think I'll just pretend that no grand final was played this year.

If the Lions have any brains - Any - they will come out and look to take pies’ heads off at the first bounce. Seriously, make them fearful of their own lives. Zorko should remove from the torsos the heads of Maynard Cox and then move to favourite sons Daicii, Pendlebury , Elliot , moore

absolutely murder them

To lose by 1 point in the most hostile environment imaginable is an amazing feat. Kudos to GWS.

Lions are vulnerable wthkut Payne down back. Tomorrow night we will see what McKay and Curnow will do to them.

The GWS winning was the only way I was going to feel ok about this footy season. Either of the 3 remaining teams winning just feels wrong.

Notice how not one (none that I noticed anyway, and if there were, apologies in advance) of the fake media were calling for Maynard to be rubbed out, all seemed to be supporting him when usually in a situation like that you see arguments for both sides... It's almost like the whole thing is run by a secret society, and if you speak out against their narrative there will be hell to pay...

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
