anyway lets hope Goodwin decide to review the Collingwood and Carlton matches

I’d say this time it's not a hope for our coach penal to do it, but a strong demand for them to do it if they had no intention to. Despite our loss in these two games, there's a lot to learn from them. In my opinion, the three finals matches we participated in the finals series in 2021 didn't pose much of a strong challenge because we were too good. We have our weaknesses and shortcomings, both among the players and the coaches, which haven't been exposed at crucial times or, when exposed, didn't have a significant impact and didn't receive much attention. In the last two minutes of Carlton's game, to be precise, 43 seconds between Lever’s mark and Acre’s goal, some of our weaknesses and shortcomings were exposed big time, and Carlton seized the opportunity, scored, and won the game. Thank God, that wasn't the GF, or I'd be furious. I'll discuss these 43 seconds and other issues in detail next month.

3 and a half hours left until Collingwood are in the Grand Final. Really enjoying a nice dinner with my remaining freedom.

Collingwood in a grand final is like being under a dictatorship.

Dear footy Gods

May the Giants rule thy lands and deliver us from a pies flag.

My kingdom to see Maynard smothered in a cracking bone crunching footy act tonight.

I can't believe the Blues dropped Kemp.

I would get into his ear about coming to us.

192 cm defender/forward. He would look better in red and blue.

Why did they?

Oh how good would a clumsy coked up Mumford hit on Maynard be (footy act or not)

Cwood supporters constant booing just shows a real arrogant sense of entitlement.

I do hope they bloody lose.

Watch Maynard come out pushing people.

They’re collectively a horrible horrible supporter base with no redeeming features.

Pies are 2 from their last 10 grand finals

thats 8 lost GFs. hilarious

Garry Lyon making me want to throw-up:

'Collingwood smacked Melbourne off the park'

In a joking manner 'Maynard won't be far away, wanting to feel body on body.'

Not sure I can watch this. Watched 5 minutes of coverage now 10 minutes before the bounce and I'm already over it.

Greene v Maynard will be interesting. Hoping Toby gives him a bath

Sad to think that could be us out there if Gus didn't get bushwhacked. We can just hope gws bring a small amount of justice since the Afl won't.

Wtf is wrong with him

He of all people have a voice. He should be calling it out. The rest of the media is so pro Collingwood it’s not funny

I emailed our president about this today. The AFLs failure to properly prosecute, Gleesons conflict of interest (or appearance of), Gleeson’s shocking comments, the AFLs manifest failure in appealing, the clubs failure in very clearly rejecting the victim blaming of gus and condemnation of the media bias. Sick of being the good corp citizen.

It’s going to be tough watching both games this weekend and so much worse if Collingwood and Carlton both win.

Well done Su.

Got a feeling tonight will be a close one.

Pies are seriously overrated.

Not the team they were earlier this season.

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

  • PREGAME: Richmond

The Dees are back at the MCG on Thursday for the annual blockbuster ANZAC Eve game against the Tigers. Can the Demons win back to back games for the first time since Rounds 17 & 18 last season? Who comes in and who goes out?
