We really need kossie to stand up this week. Been down for a while and missed gettable goals. Need at least 2 from him and a high pressure crumbing ,tackling game. Him flying for marks makes it to easy for the opposition to clear. Kozzie is about 1 from 80 so it's a low percentage play.

You’re being generous with 1 out of 80 though. I can’t remember him sticking one!

we definitely need him firing to win this week given our lack of firepower up forward now. He’s looked dangerous recently but been inaccurate and rushed when taking shots.

Still hasn't fully recovered by the looks of it

Way off and yet still gets important games

He’s a star mate. A tough, premiership player. Literally had the norm smith until CP5 went platinum in the last 40 mins.

We look short

Possibly, but of the ones you mention Curnow and TDK are likely to play in the forward line.  I'm curious as to why Hibberd goes out for Tomlinson, when ... they won't have height up forward as far as I can tell, the others are defenders (barring Cripps and Acres)

The big games are here.

No build up to the Woobles game, flew under the radar, didn't do us much good.

Different to this one.

Pressure form many angles. Tribunal, possible straight sets again, not quite right forward area, hurt mates and families.

Great we get another look, unlike 12 other teams.

Plenty to get right, though our backline is a rock.

We will play with passion, hoping we do it smartly, and not to the point of exhaustion or trying too hard.

I am nervous, but that is what finals seem to bring up.

Go Dees.

There is no point playing Grundy if we are wanting to replace the role of JVR. He cannot play as a forward, and giving him the bulk of the ruck work is robbing us of our best and most influential player spending as much time as possible in the middle.

If Grundy plays then it's at the expense of a small runner. Very risky, especially in warm conditions.

His form really hasn't exactly been great

JVR > Grundy, every day of the week.

Despite not hitting the scoreboard, he’s contesting and his ruck work has been really good for such a young kid

My guess at teams.

Ins: Jordon, Spargo, Tomlinson, Schache

Outs: Brayshaw, Chandler, Hibberd, JVR

Schache offeres nothing imo.

I'd prefer keeping Chandler or bringing in Woey, having Petracca spend more time forward and Chandler/Woey picking up the slack in the middle.

Blues are not overly tall down back so do we just go with a mosquito fleet?

By the sounds of things TMac lives to fight another day

Kozzy, TMac, ANB

Chandler, Fritsch, Trac

Sorry if already posted.

I'm not a massive fan of David King, but his conversation here with Gerrard Whateley has helped pep me up a bit re our chances tomorrow night!

~13 mins mark onwards...

Same!

Thanks for the link, was a good listen. Hard to disagree with much of what he said really.

Even gave me a little more confidence! When we step back a bit, it's easy to be apprehensive about tomorrow's game, but we should have won last week (even without Gus) - and just need to make some tweaks. JJ will be a perfectly adequate swap and didn't mind the Salem idea, would shake up a few things. Give the Blues something to think about.

Just can’t see Schache rising to this occasion. Grundy has a much better chance to impact.

If defenders aren’t tall, don’t give them an even match?

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
