Picket, ask @Webber

Think of it as resting the foot. An abundance of caution. I would remind everyone also that when he came back on the ground on Sunday, he was totally unhindered and kicked 3 more goals. And he left the ground that way at the siren. Relax.

My professional suggestion is that all our key players spent the next 8 days lying down. Nothing could go wrong if they just stop moving so much trying to exist!

Thanks Webber

and to Demonlanders FCS don’t panic when another click bait story is rolled out re hashing the subject again

Has there actually been any vision of this moon boot?

Don’t think so. The tweet states ‘expect’ to see him in a moon boot for the rest of the week.

He visited his mum on Monday and definitely wasn’t wearing one. As she said, he was “going about his life in the usual way” as on any other day off.
Sorry @Jaded No More… I told her to tell him to lie down and do nothing until next Thursday as per your request but unfortunately his five dogs ain’t having a bar of it. 😁

Pauline said maybe the media is getting him confused with her… she’s on crutches with a broken leg. 😂

Would people please stop posting in this thread, bringing it back to the top of the board?

Oh...

I reckon your kids cut sick at you when they hear you say “cut sick”

Also, “mint” socks? Meaning they’re new, or they’re mint coloured?

Also, geez it’s gonna be a LONG nine days before our next match.

Mintox.

Hopefully he doesn’t get hit by a Russian rocket before Thursday night!

Not sure you’d relish babysitting these dogs, Jaded. Two of them have to be separated 24/7. One of them is Nat’s (his girlfriend) dog and one is his (blended dog family) and her dog will kill his dog if given the chance. This almost happened on Xmas eve when someone inadvertently left a door open and they ended up spending Xmas morning at emergency. ☹️
Fritta will comment to Nat that her dog is mean, to which she’ll reply, “your dog’s a wuss!” 😂

They’ll all get treated like my dog, who you know gets treated like a child, and they’ll forget all about fighting each other. They’ll also probably gain 10kg.
I’ll sort them out! 😂

I would say then that this is a conflict of interest! Clint Stanaway should have stayed silent.. But after all he is a journo, and a BLOODY GOOD ONE AT THAT!

Why are you shouting the whole time, Picket? My internet ears hurt.

Five dogs is a lot to manage. Should've gone for the Viney option - one dog, but five times the size!

Yeah but Viney has two small children, which is way harder than 5 dogs!

I know! Surprised how long it took for someone to nail the irony. Well done @Monocology

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
