Melk looking pretty casual on the bench. No crutches. Relaxed demeanour.ย

Either itโ€™s not as bad as we fear or heโ€™s being the ultimate pro. I fear the latter.ย

I hate this game so much. It is going the exact way we didn't want it to go, close with physicality galore.

With the exception of Melksham's injury, this has actually been perfect. Shows the players the intensity required and shows that they can actually raise their intensity mid-game when needed.

JVR took eyes off the ball at the last second and targeted Sydney player. Definitely a block.ย

Watching a game with โ€˜no injuriesโ€™ as the prime outcome is awful.ย

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
