Hi Everyone.

This ground is the second last ground I haven't been too and I'm heading over.

Will the Deez have any functions or hospitality available at the ground?

Which end do the cheer squad sit and how can obtain tickets to either of these areas?

Any other areas of the ground should I look at that may be an option?

Cheers

i went a couple of years ago to the Tomlinson Tragedy Match at Blundstone Arena and to be fair it was during Covid so not many fans from either side but my memory is the border was open to Vic (I am a Tassie Dee BTW - I'm the lucky chap who went to Perth WA for you know what!).

One tip for you, is to take the public bus/shuttle from the city (there are stacks of 'em) as parking around Blundstone is a major headache

cheers

and I would like to go too but I have my roots in Launceston so too far to Hobart!

And many supporters gather at the Waterfront Hotel pre-game, right where the ferry docks - then a 10/15 minute walk up to the ground....I don't think tickets will be a problem....

In 2021 there was barely a Norf fan in the bar.

It will almost be choose your own seat at the game.

Hi guys and gals.

Yes I have booked into the Customs for the Saturday and Sunday nights.

The ferry across looks great and memorable.

Last to tick off if there is any MFC functions for members or pay for some la di da microwaved food at some premium function.

Grundy Kozz and Melk to kick 12 between them.

I've stayed at the Art House backpackers before. Just near the ground. Their single rooms were pretty good, and I'm not a backpackers type of person

We sit in either 22 or 23.

23 is the crapola seating (benches) by the hill. Bad area since it’s hard to see over the fence.

22 is in the stand with tiered seating which makes for good viewing. Downside being they don’t let us have our biggest flags in the stand and have even confiscated them in the past.

We won’t know where we’re sitting until the day.

I am going over for the game. Can we just rock up at the gate and buy a ticket like pre covid or do we have to pre book?

Norff FC  might of been disbanded before we get a chance to play them down at Tassie.

That club is a steaming pile of dung on a wretched landscape.

Hawks should of won by 80 points yesterday.

It’s a Ticketek ground. Ticketing options here…

That’s it! The bench seats 23-30 are about the worst viewing at a supposedly AFL standard ground you’ll ever see.

I miss North Hobart oval! Bring on the new stadium.

By the look the ferry from Hobart doesn’t go on Sundays.

Don't worry the Ferry will be running. They won't want to miss out on the Demon faithful dollars. We have done this trip many times and in 2O21 the game was on a Sunday. Depending on where you stay there use to be a free ferry from Wrest Point but I don't know if that's still a thing.

Depending what time ferry you take a lot of fans go across early and congregate at either the Waterfront Hotel or the Yacht Club both strolling distance to the ground. I also know many people who wander around the Salamanca Market or take in one of the many watering holes around there before taking the last ferry across.

Of course this is the game that Clarkson decides to come back to coaching them.

Does Clarkson coming back magically makes them a top 4 quality side?

FFS if we can’t beat a bottom 2 team, we can’t win the flag either.

I'm a local and hate Bellerive Oval.

Saw Gilchrist's 172 against Zimbabwe about 20 years ago.

Chris Gayle knocking stuff out of the ground (or at least on the roof of the stands).

Tassie winning the Shield.

Okay for cricket.

Terrible for AFL tho, rug up even if the forecast is decent weather. The wind is chilly fresh and doesn't help for a good game of football.

Hi Everyone, I was planning to attend the Melbourne vs North game in Hobart next week, but unfortunately my wife is sick and we won’t be going. I have 2 tickets available if anyone is interested going for just under what I paid for them. They are premium seats in the Ponting Stand. They are yours for $100 in total. Please email me on [email protected]

cheers.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
