Sounds like Fritsch will be out and no certainty to get Oliver back.

JVR for Smith. A fresh face (Woey, Howes, whoever) for any of the underperforming players (ANB, Harmes, Chandler).

Out Goodwin

In Batfink.

JVR in for fritta. Anymore changes might be too much for the selection comitee.

ANB, Smith and even Kozzy may need a spell at Casey tbf.

Nope too many changes for the selectors. Wont happen.

Could not give a Tosca, season done, time to shake the joint up and play JVR and blood, Woey, Jefferson, and any others that have played well at Casey!

Season defining game next week. Don’t care who is injured, the ins or the outs.  We need to win this one - no excuses

Might be time for one of Gawn or Grundy to have a spell. Neither are playing well.

Why suggest any changes? Goodwin will back the team in as they ‘did a lot of good things’ this week. No point in rewarding anyone who may be in any form in the 2s, that would make sense. Got to stick with the same group. Goodwin would probably pick fritsch this week if allowed

JVR for Smith

Unfortunately there's no stand out small forward at Casey for Chandler. AMW had a good game today but has no solid bank of form.

Melksham did little in conditions that should have suited him

Bowey forward and Howes in down back if you want to be adventurous

Forgot Fritsch' injury... Smith or Schache (not sure)

Woey jnr to make his debut please….

jordon back in please….

Maybe even Dunstan to play against the saints …. random I know ….

fritsch an obvious out and chandler and J smith back to the Casey demons to help them in their quest to get back into the top 4…..

Any chance Tomlinson can get a game before he tells Goodwin to GAGF & play every week for another team next year?

He was on the market at the end of 2022 and no takers

absolutely agree. we can’t carry both and give up run. with JVR and Brown and Petty back we are far too tall

I think we are going to have to get around 85 Inside 50s to win this one…

No way Smith goes out.

Chandler or Pickett out before him.

JVR for Fritsch and we are still a medium/tall forward short so ideally need someone else.

Dare I say Tomlinson in to the backline and Petty forward.

Why not? He’s not good enough.

Thought today would’ve been the day to try that considering the weather…but I guess I have hindsight on my side??? 🤷🏼‍♂️

His forward pressure is excellent, he adds much needed structure as a forward target and can bob up for goals.

Either way we are screwed without Fritsch.

It was disgusting that he was dropped after a career best performance on KBDay against this year’s (more than likely)premiers

It was a complete lack of selection in integrity and the players must be confused on what the base level of performance is to maintain their spot in the side.

Maybe. Or does the ratio of goals/i50 continue to decline the higher the number of i50s?

You know how like in video games, if you’re way out in front (racing game, Streetfighter whatever) the algorithm makes sure your competitors can catch up…

Ok.. so change is need.

Out- Grundy, ANB, Kosi, Harmes & Fritta

In- JVR, Tomlinson, Woey, Laurie & Oliver.
Bowey or Salem to spend midfield minutes, Laurie needed forward as he can actually hit a target. Petty forward with JVR and Brown.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
