Expected score at half time 33 - 27 our way.

Inaccuracy letting us down again.

Other stats supporting that we have a small edge in a close game, leading tackles, takes inside 50, marks inside 50, contested marks, clearances, and contested possessions.

Collingwood with more disposals - 20 more handballs.

There is a tactical battle with structures, Collingwood trying to get an overlap on the outside, which they then seem to use to cut inboard while we work to man back up. When they get it, they have scored. When we've denied it they have struggled to move the ball threateningly.

Scoring a couple of goals from stoppages early was a real boon for them.

Evenly poised, and it might come down to individual brilliance or team fitness.

Ok this half we'll kick straight.

Petracca, smith, Spargo and van Rooyen need to do something.

3 goals in a half is not great

3 Goals and a zillion pionts is shizzen footy

Lucky to score what game are you watching.

The one where we have kicked 3 goals in a half, and packed our daks when a score is possible. If that doesn’t change, we’re done. Simples.

Have a look at this tweet, we all get excited about the footy but imagine wishing death upon someone fighting a terminal disease

Trac can win this game. He needs just to improve his kicking efficiency....

Goodbye Jeffrie.

Should we have bought in Melksham as another scoring option because Spargo and Chandler aren't offering much

Kozzie needs to stay down and be at the fall of the ball.

You know………….be a small forward

Serious rocket.... that shouldve happened after the first attempt.

Max & Fritta need to have a word or Goodwin.

How this hasn't been rubbed out of his game after 12 rounds is astounding and a real blight on the forward line coach.

I have a hunch that we’ll overrun them in the last.

Why ... you gunna run out and snag a few !!  Fmd.. this lot are throwing it away.

4 very gettable goals..   regulation kicks.

Just do it Melbourne.. squandering the ball.

Go Dees

Go Jack....kick those goals for us will ya ;)

My strong advice is to give up Twitter - it’s a sewer. And, who are these people and who cares?

Smith is not a forward. But I guess the cupboard is bare unfortunately. So much on young Jvrs shoulders and he's having a quiet one. I'd try and leave Grundy there for the rest of duration.

Maynard is a houso thug.

The Demons return to Casey Fields (aka the Field of Dreams) this Saturday to host the Saints in Round 2. If you’re feeling lucky, head down the Monash for some family-friendly footy—you might even walk away a winner. The first 5,000 adults through the gate will receive an entry into the $10,000 helicopter ball drop. With Casey’s infamous wind, what could possibly go wrong? Closest ball to the pin wins. So spread the word, get down there—and good luck!

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.
