My Demons seats area too. Not happy with Dees fans giving their tickets to Pie friends. I pay good money so I don’t have to rub shoulders with filth.

Bizarre behaviour.

Five members of my close family (parents, siblings) are Pies supporters. People I love, obviously. But today they are my sworn enemy. If any of them asked me for a ticket I’d hand them a toilet roll.

How do you know they have tickets and didn’t just sneak in?
I would check.

Well, I'm heading off to the G and intend downing a few pregame thirst quenchers.

If, as my Cardiologist confidently predicts, the big one arrives today, may I land and splatter as many filth supporters as possible.

Will keep my ears peeled for something similar to this eminating from the filth throng...

Jack Ginnavan a potential late out today.

Triple M just interviewed Josh Fraser and he certainly didn’t deny the rumour.

Seen on the train:

1. About half the men on the carriage wearing tracksuit pants

2. Drunks smoking on the bridge between the carriages

3. Group of delinquent Collingwood supporting teens vaping on the carriage

And they’re probably the better behaved contingent of Collingwood supporters.

Where we started:

'Lot of Collingwood supporters here but all I see are gate receipts'

Nek minnit:

'I pay good money so I don’t have to rub shoulders with filth.'

After watching the last couple of games this round im guessing that the rule

of the week is "push in the back". Max will hopeful get his reward today!

Last week there were quite a few Carlton supporters in the RedLegs area too…should ban oppo colours in the non-guest premium areas

Can anyone remember the last time we went into a game not as the bookies favourite?

Imagine saying that sentence to your 2013 self.

I'm pretty sure the lions were favourites, just, against the lions in round 2.

But you'd probably have to go back to the 2021 season for the next example (maybe the dogs round 17 loss?).

If everyone outside the stadium were to die how long would it take to breed out the Pie supporters?

Steady on. I think that is a bit harsh and over the top wishful thinking. What’s wrong with forceful sterilisation?

Do these Fox commentators get paid money. “Melbourne’s main problem is an inability to score” are we not one of highest scoring teams?

Glad to see the all the optimism - I wish I could share this. Reality is this is going to be a tough game to win - we have been in really poor form for the last month or two and thinking it’ll just change is a bit of wishful thinking.

On the positive side, the Pies are starting to come off their phenomenal form, starting to look tired, have some illness sweeping through their club and have had a few soft kills in the past few games.

Its going to be less than a goal.

A score for every i50 would be nice, 50/50 goals/behinds would be better, 100/0 in first qtr would be Deelightful!

Go Dees, light up the score board!

The lady checking tickets in M50 told me she’s already kicked some Pies fans out. I told her to please keep an eye out and she promised she will.
The issue is they sneak in from underneath 😡

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
