What's the general consensus for how many more losses can the club have before "Is Goodwin the Right Guy" is back at number one on the thread list?

Goody is safe. I’ll be asking questions of the assistant coaches.

It means last week’s sub, Fyfe, is “in”.

AFL has to change the rules to mean clubs name 23 plus three emergencies. If the sub is credited with a game, the sub should be named alongside the 22.

Fyfe was subbed out

Not that hard to tell us who is in and out of the 22 is it?  the sub is picked 90 ins before the game and is not relevant to the teams coming out

Not exactly inspirational changes however we need to have some continuity in the forward line, can't expect TMac or BBB to provide on the first game back especially as they are on the wrong side of 30 w/ injuries.

Oh ok well the point remains, whoever last week’s sub was is now “in” to the 22. But they don’t come up as an “in” because they were already “in” as the sub. They can’t name a replacement until they name the new sub.

Christ, supporters overrate Jordon the way they bang on about him.

You obviously don’t rate him, would you like to give an explanation?

Was hoping bb would come in. TMac looks past it.

last weeks sub wasn't in the 22. so if they are now in the 22, they should be listed as an in

depending on what week it is you could easily exchange the names in that statement

I must be one of only a handful that thought T Mac was ok last week considering the conditions and the amount of ball we gave up.

BB was playing well before he was injured. TMac hasn’t looked played well in a long time (I don’t count the game against the hapless eagles).

We badly need to add a KPF to our list in the off-season

Walyalup loses Sonny Walters.

That's a plus for the dees given our struggle against quality mid sized forwards and winning ground ball inside D50.

Tmac hasn’t looked very good since about halfway through 2021. Can’t believe Brown has been frozen out since his first couple of games this year. Very weird. He’ll never play that well at Casey. Needs that silver service, and not often Div 2 footy will provide that.

He wasnt our worst. Problem is the ball hardly made it back there and it was wet.

Our problem is the small / pressure forwards. They need to plant themselves around the feet of our talls, but with the current game style, they are pressing up deep into Defence and perhaps not fit enough to get back to support.

Well we can kiss Jordan goodbye at the end of the year!

@drysdale demon Care to elaborate what’s so funny?

I think we are a bit light on for midfield rotations with the team that is named even if you include a mid as the sub. We may not have the legs to run out the game and may get found out in the 4th quarter.

We lost one mid and brought in two CHF, what makes you think we will be a bit light on for midfield rotations?

Rubbish team Goody needed to make a statement

! How T.Mac AND JVR Are STILL IN IS A MYSTERY

How does he get a free pass ?  He's THE Coach...

Jordan will be elsewhere at end of year.

Hes ok... not necessarily ( our ) 1st 22..  Deserves a go somewhere

Same reason that I thought the same last week: We do not have enough run through there to cover the whole game. We did bring in another mid but have lost Hunter that spends 90%+ time on the ground and Oliver that spends 80%+ TOG.

We shall see. I hope that I am wrong.

Your hysteria

Ok. Blokes easily good enough to be best 22. Can’t get a game. Contract talks on hold. Gone.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
