the Cats have named their worst midfield for 20 years.

aside from Duncan who’s going to win the ball?

Taranto will go nuts. if Tigers can kick a decent score they can win this

Cats are 2-2 at the G.

Am i convincing anyone?!?

You tipped this @DubDee.

am i the only one taking advantage of the odds of Freo beating the Cats next week?? crazy odds

No, I will now. Double chance happiness is always good!

50 points gc are up by at half time. I know West coast are an injury rubble but gee Adam Simpson must really be feeling it.

Also obviously he's injured but is Nic Nat the most forgotten about footballer? Years ago he was all everyone was talking about. I feel like the footy world has moved on & new players have come through and passed him

A pleasant home and away outcome,

Memo to Geelong Coach...

If you are going to play a two pronged forward line don't play one of them on the wing

West Coast are legitimately entering Fitzroy territory. What the hell is going on there? They have an obscene amount of resources. You can’t just wipe out 3 seasons of footy because of ‘injuries’. It’s bizarre.

They are probably at best a 14 on the ladder team and with so many injuries, that is the result.

Martin may have kicked 4 but he is such a shadow of what he was

his don’t argue is debatable

And still better than 800 others running around.

Why are Riewoldt and Hawkins swapping jumpers?

In the words of one of the bevy of great commentators we have right now. "It's probably the last time these two great combatants of the game will play against each other!"

He signed a new 2 year contract at the end of last year, after not showing up fit for the preceding 5 preseasons. He’s a huge part of the problem.

Not everyone.

Best I've seen Tiges play in 2 years, can they sustain it is another question.

How bout that peanut Snott standing out the back of the box so he's not in view of the cameras swearing his potty mouth off.

Somewhat ironic that Ballard is playing an absolute blinder v WC.

Hopefully his nemesis does likewise tomorrow!!

Good win for them but I wouldn’t go as far as that.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
