Cameron Bruce surely gets a gig. No love for Scully? Secial mention to Stevie Armstrong and his premiership medal as well.

Addit: Bishop should get a look in too.

good job, but you left out 2 brownlow medallists

Should players that came to Melbourne from other clubs be included. Pyke for example.

If we are talking Martin Pike, he didn’t come from another club. He started at Melbourne then went to Fitzroy, North Melbourne and Brisbane.

I’m glad we won a flag otherwise this is a very hard read. Trading Chopper for Turley? Still think Scott Thompson is the one that got away

Bulldogs from memory, but his body was shot after Melbourne.

I’m Happy that Sauce and Weed are getting regular games, Looking forward to watching Toby Bedford when he lines up for GWS

Tingay should be in there over Dyson.

Tingay didn't play a game at the Swans: he was injured all the time....

donny williams, stuart spencer

Neither of these played for another VFL team after leaving Melbourne, which I understood to be the qualifier for @Monbon's team.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
