Outstanding example of just how stupid and unclear this deliberate rule is.

Wouldn't pick 6 be nice in the kitty at the end of the year.

Will sit nicely next to another premiership cup I think

57 free kicks in the north Freo game . Freo got 34 and where probably stiff not to get a shot after the siren from. A deliberate out of bounds and it was glorious to watch!!

Definitely the most interesting start to an AFL season I’ve seen.

Sucks we lost last night but really enjoyed the footy we’ve seen around the competition so far.

Come home Jackson.

he can stay where he is. Grundy and the picks coming our way are worth way more.

Forget Freo for a second, if North's performance doesn't inspire you. Then you ain't human.

Well that is it then. Dogs are a mess. And now we can have a huge LOL at Freo.

I.Am.Not.Human.

I wonder if Max has sent LJ a few Text Messages lately.
Must be a weird feeling for him, watching his Young Teammate stink it up so badly.
The press over there will crucify him

I have a couple of North supporting mates. I'm kinda happy for them to win, when we were down for so long these friends were wrapped for our recent success.

Still want us to get a % boost when we play them...

but if you watch the clock, it went to 00 just as the ball bounced before the boundary line

so it didn't go oob in game time

It’s good for the competition. I’m genuinely glad to see them improve, especially when they’re taking down the likes of Freo in the process.
I am also really happy for Sheezel. I’m Jewish and it is a massive massive deal to have a Jewish kid not only drafted into the AFL but be a genuine star. It’s really fantastic. I wonder if today is the first time two Jewish players have taken the field together in the same side?

Jackson should be texting Max to see how his knee is. Gawn did all he could to make Jackson a star and he [censored] all over him and our club. Deserves nothing.

Beveridge has to go. The Saints injury list is huge

The one thing with Ross Lyon coaching is you don't need a spectacular list. He has proven this time and time again. That game plan of relentless pressure on the ball carrier, all team defence and being harder for longer exposed a few of the DOgs.

LJ probably has sent him multiple text messages. They are mates

LJ was given shocking advice, and yes he must take some of the blame. But he certainly isn’t ready for the Monster Contract.
I will be watching closely…

You have to be a good player to play that way over 4 Quarters

I thought the Saints were out of gas in the 2nd Quarter. But they regrouped at Halftime and put the foot down

It was very impressive

That’s a good question, I used to listen all the time then Hutchy took over and he did do a couple of ok things but largely ruined the station. I hardly listen to it at all now.

The race for the top four and eight this year is going to be incredibly close.

This kid is a bonafide jet. I'm happy to say it after two games.

Good on him, the online abuse and other rubbish he had to deal with was very ordinary.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
