I love Max Gawn

Geez can't complain about the intensity now. It's coming from the top down.

Is Tom McDonald injured? The AFL app says he is 🤷‍♂️

Got a kick in the shin/leg area and jogged off. Wouldn’t be worried if it was anyone else

That’s an odd choice given we are playing far better than they are all over the ground

Is Langdon playing on the opposite side of the ground to normal.

Confirmed. And he looks like Hunter now and I’m so confused.

That’s his gait. By now it’s like saying Neitz used to wobble as he walked

It's a natural attribute of Stars

Max is good for the dump kick or a big leading target on occassions.

We'll be a much better forward line with Fritta back as the Max option will draw at least one extra defender leaving the likes of Fritta and Macca to be hit up a bit more on the lead... at least in theory.

Chandler needs to work on his set shot goal kicking.  For someone who's played a stack of games at Casey he should know to kick low and strong at both ends given there's a sprawling end to end breeze out there much of the time.

Foot off the pedal that quarter and weren’t really able to mount a good enough response IMO.

Thought we got a bit sloppy imo

You simply can't play BBB in Round 1 based on this evidence.  He's losing every contest.

That would have been some goal if Clarry could have finished. He's looking sharp.

When he got himself in trouble/confused could have found a short pass and not do it all on his own. Tiges kicked 3 straight. Momentum/tempo control needs a team effort.

superb banana kick from bowey out of defence to Hunter. Kid is full of confidence and playing well.

BBB a bit off so far today.

What a kick from Bowie from the back pocket to hit Sparrow there.  Three opponents around him

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
