Brayshaw's commentary in this game was generally excellent. A stark contrast to Taylor who was hyperbolic and made error after error.

Classics like bang, bang, bang, bang and It's falling the way of the Demons will be remembered for a long time.

I have always regarded James Brayshaw as an astute judge of all things football and any comments apparently made by me to the contrary weren't really because my account was hacked.

I reckon i had a dig at him today also.😂

I reckon JB has had a soft spot for us ever since Gus was drafted. Rarely says a bad word against us.

Yes for some reason I find this comment of JB less annoying than most.

As much as these two drive me nuts I thought their call was really on point that night.

Then again any call would have probably sounded good in that game.

His main fault, he always sounds very happy with himself.

In my era, not a more pure style of footy played in a granny. Maybe a couple of equals (e.g. Jeelong in '07, ArmageDON in '84, Carlscum in '70), but I don't think anything better. And it was US. Brings a tear to my eye still. The MFC just showcased a 150 year old game in its great glory. And they can never take that way from us. 40 minutes of pure transcendence actually.

I would agree.  I also thought Daisy was excellent.  I loved the way a couple of times her comments on the game put BT in his place!

BREAKING; Kane Cornes reveals James Brayshaw might consider changing his favourite grand final to 2002 Bris v Coll in exchange for Andy Maher not nominating Ben Cousins' Richmond debut as his favourite hamstring injury. Discussions ongoing but Maher holding firm.

Maher holds a lot of things firm I am told.

Typical biased response from you and others on here.

I wouldn't be surprised if most / all of you are Melbourne supporters.

I concede there is a potential conflict of interest, but I am managing it by excusing myself from any relevant discussions, immediately after making clear the outcome I am seeking.

Brayshaw grates on me a bit, to be honest.

  • AFLW REPORT: West Coast

Melbourne’s response to last week’s heartbreak was emphatic, as the Demons delivered a statement win over West Coast at a windswept Casey Fields. All of the pre-match hype surrounded the coach’s box matchup of Mick Stinear up against his apprentice, Daisy Pearce along with the gloomy weather forecast. In the end, it was less about tactical chess and more about Melbourne’s relentless execution. With rain looming, the DeeArmy and early birds snapped up the best undercover viewing spots.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.
