Chander can hit the scoreboard, but needs to work on his defensive craft considerably in the off season.

He had a bit of a up and down year, but its also his first year of consistent senior football. So perhaps a dip understandable.

In 2019 he played in the last game of the season and was a tackling beast that game.
In 2020 he was consigned to the VFL/COVID
In 2021 he was sub for 5 games making it onto the ground once.
In 2022 he was sub 4 times making it onto the ground 3 times.

So quite a jump playing 23 games this season, plenty to build on. 3rd at the club for goal assists, 5th at the club for goals, 9th for tackles etc. Fully agree he dipped a little at times but also hard to judge the forwards when the forward line rotated as much as it did (due to injuries or what not), a lack of cohesion didn't help.

I like both Spargo and Chandler, yes they have things to work on don't really want to fob either of them off

But as stated above, who knows what the greater plan is for drafts/trading etc.

Fixing error, robbed him of a spot for tackles

Personally I don’t rate Chandler. Spargo offers footy smarts, something this side lacks going into 50. I’d keep both, play Spargo in the AFL and let Chandler and AMW battle it out for a spot.

I reckon there should be pressure on both their spots and I'm happy if Charlie moves on. Chandler in the VFL for mine, until he is more consistent.

I get the feeling the comparison here should be between Spargo and the incoming McAdam not Chandler.

I don't know much, especially according to my son, but one thing I do know reliably is not to listen to a single thing you hear on Perth Radio. Veracity = 0

Even when they do the time it is 2 hours out.

Spargo and Chandler off us the same thing

Spargo is smart enough to understand this which is why he is looking elsewhere

No they don't. You can't see that?

I agree with this.

Players sign contracts and leave..

And then usually the receiving club has to pay an increased price for the trade.

Demons have something cooking… had one of the most heartwarming wry grins I’ve seen in a LONG time last night —- in response to a question about how we’re gonna fill these list spots & why were no longer in frame for pick 4 — suddenly I feel warm and fuzzy inside…

Lets hope it wasn’t just to perk me up a bit.. keep an eye on the headlines folks!

no longer in the frame for pick 4. Why not?

Presumably because we are looking to trade pick 5 for an established player?

Was thinking this the other day…

Liam Ryan would be a good get

Putting his previous off field issues and current injury issues aside, I’m in total agreement.

Absolute pure football talent is Liam Ryan and can actually kick the prune.

However I can’t see him wanting to move and I can’t see why WC would want to move one of their rare forward talents

Is he up for grabs? I can’t see us getting McAdam and Ryan in

No I don’t see us moving on PK5, I think we still want to move UP.. but without getting into the realm of where I’m risking my job, I felt better because the insinuation was basically “if what we’re doing comes off, you’ll be left far happier than if we managed to get pk4” basically

Does this also include Pick 1?

I can’t say — as in I don’t know. But we can all hope and dream! But I walked away with knowledge that either Dees or Saints were gonna have a big big win this off-season, as that’s what I was lead to blv, but fact club are trying super hard is enough for me as I have faith if they have a plan, they’ll execute.

Aren't you well known on here over the years for completely making stuff up and having a zero strike rate??

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
