...a good start is by reading the threads on the board. Spend half an hour and you'll have your answers.

In summary:

4 losses at an average of 37 points.

Injuries to McLean, Neitz, Robbo, TJ, Moloney, Rivers, Green, Wheatley, Jones and Whelan.

Pathetic and inept performances from the players.

Pathetic and inept performance from the coach.

Pathetic and inept performances from the president (thinks Daniher should coach to 2016)

Pathetic and inept performances from the fans (16,000 to an MCG home game)

Apart from that the seasons travelling quite well

i have been overseas for almost 3 weeks, and whilst being away apparntly our footy club has collapsed. Could someone please fill me in?

Well 'demondomination', we started playing the Saints in the first match of the season, with David Neitz kicking the first goal of the season. At least we have enjoyed the first 30 minutes with the Dees holding a comfortable 2 goal lead at quarter time. Everything seemed to be going to plan. We seemed to have the opposition under control. After this glorious half hour everything has been turned upside down what with massive injury problems, no confidence and poor form. We will improve but we don't know just when this will occur. Stay in the country , maybe the boys have just missed you.

Same as the start of 2006, just add about 67 injuries

In all honesty none of us have any idea what Gardner or the board are saying behind closed doors. Part of his job as President is to provide a united front, and as long as Neale's in the position of Senior Coach, on the outside he'll always (appear to) have the support of the board.

Do you really think Paul's going to turn around and say "I reckon Neale's doing a shit job and I doubt he'll be the coach in 2008" ?

Not sure why you're wasting your time, or why I am wasting mine...

Clearly Gardner should have sacked Daniher on The Footy Show last Thursday. He is a crap president for not having done that already.

well lets see whats happened whilst you were away, brad miller cant mark so he got a glove but then when he does mark he seems to think hes playing rugby and handballs to a player behind him. then theres nathan carroll who lets his opponent get way ahead of him when the ball is kicked his way therefore nathan has no chance of even trying getting anywhere near the ball or his opponent who kicks goal after goal. then theres all these stupid hand balls all over the backline which of course leads to the other team getting annoyed therefore getting their hands onto the ball and again kicking goals, and then theres neal daniher who lets the team get away with this crap sort of play, really you havent missed out on much its been like this all season.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
